I would guess Scott, Jean, and Storm will be teenagers. Not young adults in Apocalypse. So, they'd be 40s. Maybe around 50. Also depends what year Apocalypse takes place in within the 80s vs their age.

Xavier and Magneto were in their mid-to-late 20s and early 30s in 1962. If you think too hard about it, then yes Xavier is over 80 in DOFP and Magneto is in his 90s. In which case, they look pretty good for being so old.

That was reflected in Singer casting Famke and James in the roles bc he wanted to display a relationship onscreen with an older woman and younger man. FYI, the age difference between the actors is 8. The characters being at least 5 works with this

I'm fine with Days of Future Past serving as the conclusion to the original trilogy characters.

What I really want to see now is the closing of the loop. I want to see Charles keep his promise in rebuilding the school, recruiting Ororo, Scott and Jean. I want to see how this new Wolverine came to find the X-Men. And most importantly:

WHAT THE DAMN HELL HAPPENED TO SWAGNETO!

According to Simon Kinberg we might see some from the originals again! Obviously Patrick will be one of them, Hugh is a given. So I hope Halle, Famke and James appear in the movie even if its brief!

It's been more than hinted at that these three are part of the cast. But no there hasn't been a confirmation.

As I recall, that is the order Xavier meets them in. He first met Storm in Cairo and later met Scott then Jean as he began to (re)form the school. It's been a long time and probably several continuties or retcons though.
