First Avenger Question for Captain America comic fans...

I mostly read DC books. But, always go and see comic movies...whether they are DC or Marvel. But, I just had a question regarding CA...

-So he is this meek dude who gets transformed into a super-soldier. Got that. But, if the procedure worked. Why didn't more people go through the process? Hell...If I was a technician working there...I would have done it.

Yup. Many attempts were made over the years to re-create the process, but something always goes wrong.
