Next MARVEL Movie for MSJ is Captain America?

Where did you hear that??? Woooohoooo that was my 300th post, time to pick out an avatar.

i hate Cap.america....

even if MSJ was involved...i have low hopes for that hero

i hope to god they just throw him in avengers or something....

solo is no no...

Maybe this is the best time to do a Captain America movie.

I'm looking forward to the Captain America movie. As long as it's set in World War II, I'll be happy.

How can you hate the symbol of America!

I mean, his first issue, just look at the cover...

Knocking the chin of Hitler with the red, white, and blue across his shield.

I'm expecting great things from Captain America, no matter who is attached. Although, after seeing the first incarnation... hopes could definitely be low.

Yep, Cap is the best story that hasn't already hit the big screen that Marvel has left. They need to tell the classic tale and do the WWII stuff right. They also need to resist bringing him to modern times too fast.

Yeah, leave modern day for a sequel. I want to see Cap leading the GI's into battle, going up against the Nazis, Red Skull and his clunky WWII technological terrors.

It's funny, when I was watching Troy and Achilles and his men stormed the beach, all I could think about was how cool a Cap movie could be. Crikey, he even had a circular shield on his back.

Great work Flamehead.

I've been on a bit of a downer with all the "fake" comicbook movies that have come out recently. The only comicbook movie franchise I have any real faith in has been the Spider-man franchise thanks to Raimi.

After reading the interview however, I can honestly say I am interested and excited about the GR movie. MSJ sounds like a real fan--not a "I just read a few comics and watched a few cartoons" fan.

Big up to him for coming on the Hype.

PS: So far, I think I like his vision for GR. It appears to be a straight-up comicbook movie in the vein of Spider-man--it isn't trying to be a melodrama. Admittedly, I'm not as fluent with the GR comic as I am with the Marvel mainstays. But what little know has me liking his vision so far.

Good stuff

It's always interesting to hear the opinion of someone who doesn't know much about GR.

Glad you like the thread game. I'll probably update it if MSJ comes back to answer questions.

I don't think it was all Raimi that made Spider-Man as great as it was. Sony's vision and faith helped a hell of a lot. I think having Ghost Rider under the same studio is nothing but greatness. Their success and experience with Spidey will only do great things for Ghost Rider expecially now that we know they have faith in that as well.

From what I can tell so far, it definitely looks like a strait up comic book movie but, I wouldn't really want to strickley classify it as that. I like to look at it as a supernatural thriller more than a comic book movie. Besides, this will certainly be like nothing we've seen before, comic book or not.

Regardless, welcome to the Ghost Rider hype. Stick around now won't ya?

Hey,

Yup, it's been posted in the other threads -- particularly the Comic-Con thread. Still great to see it though, and to know that there is a community of fans just looking to deliver information to the masses.
Yeah I saw it in the Comic Con thread and thought I should bering over to this thread

I remember seeing it. I only thing I like was the WW2 scene. No wait I might be making it better then it actually is.

Actually it hasn't...well not in the US. It was only released on the big screen INTERNATIONALLY. I believe in the US it was straight to video.

'YOUR questions' answered by MSJ. LOL.

More like the Sony Marketing Dept's questions.

"Where can I buy Ghost Rider merchendise?"

"I'm 15, will Ghost Rider appeal to my demographic?"

"Are there any products which I should buy? Shall I have the Sony logo tattoed on my ass?"

The bottomline is money and always will be.

On that note, which butt cheek should I tatoo Sony on?

Excellent interview! I'm sorry to have come here so late, I only just found this forum! And I'm quite tickled that it seems to be pretty active!

I'm eager to see the film!

Yep, we're very lucky that the director of the film is decent enough to give us Ghostie fans updates and answers. So stay tuned because you never know when he'll pop up with some exciting news!

Nice to hear you're looking forward to the movie.

Welcome to the hype Redvelvet and to our little corner of it. It's a great place to hang and most (if not, all) of us are very easy to get along with. So, drop by anytime, make yourself at home and join us as we ride to the Feb 16th release date.

The more I see the more I love Ghost Rider. I honestly did not have good first impressions of it at all, but I have been swayed. I guess I just realised how cool this character is.

Anways, I know MSJ reads some of our comments here. So I wanna add that the skull needs to be more realistic. Fire creates light, and that needs to be shown on the skull itself. I realise if it were perfectly realistic the skull would be very dark, but a little bit of dramatic lighting on it would do wonders. Just by dropping the brightness in Photoshop on any of the images makes a big difference.

Fire moves constantly, and creates flickering light and shadows. I just want GR to look as badass and real as possible, and less like Scorpion unmasked from Mortal Kombat the movie.

:ghost:

Keep up the good work.
