I was thinking today of the new images that have been released of Batman- the "on top of the cop car pic" and the "on the batcycle" pic. Have you noticed that we can't see the eyes in either shot. Have they perhaps taken the "upgrading" the suit thing a bit far and included the white lenses?

Just something I was wondering about.

I'd bet a lot of money that they haven't.

If they had, they sure would've mentioned it in the article since it basically was about the things which were added by Lindy Hemming. Thank God, it wasn't mentioned, no lenses!

It's ridiculous to imagine that Nolan and co would go to the lengths of finally allowing Batman to completely turn his head - but then cover his eyes so we can't tell who he's looking at!

No.

And if you look at the Batman Begins early Batman pictures, they look the same. The eyes are hidden.

I can see his eyes when he's standing on the car. If you my pictures on your windows and when you enlarge near the eyes.

In the lightened up pics you can see his eyes.

It's the shadowing.

comics it works looks cool, in a film we need to see who he's looking at, and actors use their eyes to act when 3/4 of their face is covered. quadruple that bet!

You guys do realize that C.Lee will deduct 50 posts from your post count if you post "In before the lock?"

wow . . . c'mon, if he really had the lenses, you'd be able to tell

Noooooooooo, I didn't mean it! I was asking if that was the statement, please don't hurt me overlords! T_T

Anyways, I could just be blind, but I was looking at the pic where Batsy is standing on the car and I was thinking his right eye (which is kind of visible) was lensed over. I haven't been able to get to photoshop or see a brightened version of the pic though, I dunno. It would make sense that Nolan and Co. wouldn't want to reveal everything that's new about the suit and the gadgets yet, so maybe the suit has more than meets the eye. More pics pleez! (Not the crotchy one either)

I'm gonna go ahead and say that they most definitely did not add the lenses.

From the picture that was on BOF of the cowls in a box, the eye area was too big to be lenses ready.

No, eye contact is too important for a comic book movie ESPECIALLY Batman because he has no powers so we want to see what his reaction could be. It only works in the comics. Sorry

I'm convinced those cowls were fake; the ears on them were shorter than the TDK suit ears.
That they were. And I called it first, they look dead on like the Rubies cowls. Not to mention they had neck attatchment, and the new cowl goes on like a helmet, and the neck has rivets and is an entirely seperate piece to the costume.

Then i guess there's still a chance. It could also be contact lenses. I remember in BB somce scenes he had contact lenses to give it a cetain look. A good example is the scene where he's at Gordon's appartment.

In TDK, i've said this before and i'll say it again, they can use SEMI transparent lenses. Once they do a close up on his eyes for let's say a dramatic confrontation we get to see his rage. I always wanted a sort of think triangle shaped lenses. I doubt we'll see such in any bat film anytime soon.

Lenses? Isn't that a just a stylistic thing in the comics and cartoons? Or is there some explanation a casual fan like me wouldn't know? They change shape when he changes his expression, so how can they possibly be lenses?
