Okay heres my overly critique of the movie:

I'm not sure what to make of it. It seemed soo slow imo. I wished they would of gotten to the action sooner. Most of the action took place at the end,was hopin for more guerilla(sp) warfare between rambo and the rebels. I did somewhat in a barbaric way liked the overbearing blood 'n guts scenes. They spared no expense on this, and sadly I thought they relied heavily on this to sell the movie...Rambo seemed so robotic at times, and it did'nt work all that well. I think they were going for an angrier, distant rambo, but /shrug. Though Im overly critical of the movie it did have its moments, and I applaud the rambo series for trying to bring attention to certain issues of the world that noone cares about. Favorite scene: Killed all those guys with his bow n arrow, that was sweet.

It figures....

The *professional* critics are slamming the movie. I love it when critics go to a movie like Rambo and whine because of the action, expecting Shakespeare or some shiznit.

I found Rambo a lot more satisfying than Cloverfield... I feel like Sly gave me my money's worth...

me and my buddy were laughing so much during this movie.... the blood and guts were great in the movie.

the beginning was sad though when you see the children and women getting slaughtered

Oh, I thought you might have had a web article or something...

Considering the ending, how/why would he make another one.....?

Spoiler Tags please.....

They were at Rambo premiere, and they were talknig about all the old action stars, Arnold, Willis, etc. The interviewer asked if there would be another Rambo and Sly said something to the effect of "yeah, I've got a crazy idea, and will see what they think."

I haven't spoiled anything.

I hope he makes another one where's he sucked into a huge mainframe computer and is forced to play games to survive and then escapes on something I thought up called a lightcycle. ;)

This movie is hard core action. I loved it! John Rambo is a force beyond good and evil. He is really a force of nature in this movie.

Rambo is one of the bloodiest and most violent films I've ever seen.

If you like Rambo, and hard core action, you'll love it.

I went to the 1:15pm showing this afternoon, and the theatre was probably 3/4 full. A broad demographic of people there. I noticed a lot of cheers during the movie, and the crowd clapped after the film was over.

Tronbo?

Well I want a proper sequel to Robocop now more than ever.

That sounds really good , I wish i had gone tonight .

And then some. Heaven help me but I had fun watching this movie. It’s far more graphic and ultra-violent then I was expecting but the tone seemed to fit. This film delivers just what I thought it would, Rambo being Rambo regardless of age. Outside of a wild and long sprint through the jungle, they never stretched believability that far concerning the physical capabilities of a Vietnam vet. Even so, he’s John Frickin Rambo; you have to expect some extraordinary abilities. Setting up such vicious and evil bad guys does turn the stomach but it gives the viewer increased interest when Rambo and his allies take them out in gruesome and graphic ways. Thumbs Up!

Sooo, is there old Rambo theme music at all in the film?

I was snickering a bit when the Australian mercenary called Rambo a simple "boatman".

What do you expect? These guys see like every movie there is. Only films that are able to break up the monotony get the good reviews. That's really how it should be. I don't want to see any more time and resources wasted on rehashing the same ideas, situations, and lines over and over and over.

Seriously, WTF is 'Rambo IV' or 'AvP2' or 'Blonde & Blonder' good for? Short term OR long term?

I am not going to troll this thread, but I will say I saw the movie today, and it sucked.

Just got back from seeing it. Give it a 7. Was what I expected and wanted out of a Rambo film. Death and gore dished out primarily from Stallone.

Don't just say it sucked and leave, you have to explain why you hated it, maybe it's not your cup of tea or you just prefer the 3rd rate action heroes like Van Damme and Steven Segall.

It didn't feel like it had a real story, but more superficial plot and themes to cover up the fact it is just Stallone shooting a lot of shockingly gruesome violence. When the clips of Burma were shown during the credits, I had hopes this would be good. But, it just turned into mindless and overly gruesome violence. This movie needed to be more fleshed out for me to care about the story or any of the characters Rambo was saving.

Now, I hate Segal and Van Damme movies, and I happen to be a fan of First Blood, and Rambo: First Blood Part 2 (to a lesser extent than First Blood). Now, I disliked Rambo III.
