Haven't seen Dr. Strange yet but my list based on my enjoyment goes as follows:

Deadpool
Civil War
Suicide Squad
X-men
BVS

Considering your new rating is my actual rating, maybe i'll end up liking it even more when i watch it tomorrow, or maybe less :oldrazz:
We'll see.

Well I hope it's the former :yay:

:woot:

Were you a Deadpool fan before the film ? Personally, I've never really gone for Deadpool, and I struggle with Ryan Reynolds as an actor ( something Deadpool himself points out). Whereas I've been a fan of Cumberbatch since Sherlock season 1.

I will say that Deadpool has the better love story though !

I wasn't a Deadpool fan before the movie, knew of him, but never read a comic. Read Doc Strange in the likes of Ghost Rider and Infinity Gauntlet.

Not really a huge fan of either Reynolds or Cumberbatch but thought both nailed their roles.

I wondered if this would fill your number 1 spot, and I'm not disappointed.
I'm obviously biased. but Strange is one of my favourite superheroes and I waited decades for a movie. On the other hand, if this movie would have failed in any way (like if he would be DCEU-level bad) I'd have been the first to overreact and rage

I relate to that.

My updated list:

1.Civil War
2.Doctor Strange (very close to CW)

4.X-Men: Apocalypse

* These last two, I can't decide which one is the worst. So, they aren't in a particular order.

Haven't seen Strange yet, but I actually feel like that's the one thing I can confidently say that Deadpool will do better than Strange (well, that and maybe the humor, but we'll see): the love story. Deadpool succeeds mainly due to the genuinely touching, if somewhat undercooked, romance between him and Vanessa. Deadpool is a smarmy, nearly invincible jackass whose schtick could grow very tiresome very quick, but the love story made me actually buy into the character and his journey.

Strange could have a great love story, I haven't read anything about the film and I don't know what to expect, but Deadpool's success, in my eyes, is due entirely to the romance.

I wouldn't say Deadpools success was entirely down to the romance. There were other factors as well. The action was well done, and the humour was actually really funny. But I admit the romance was a big reason for how people took to the movie.

Judging by some posts in here I actually think DP vs DS would be closer than people think also.

1. Civil War
2. Deadpool
3. Apocalpyse
4. Suicide Squad
5. Batman vs Superman

Hopefully Doctor Strange will take one of the top two spots after I see it next week, can't wait!

Amended list:

1. Doctor Strange
2. Civil War
3. Deadpool
4. Apocalpyse
5. Suicide Squad
6. Batman vs Superman

After seeing Doctor Strange, it has now taken my top spot so that's what I've voted for. Like I said in the DS review thread, I absolutely love Civil War but being much more of a fan of cosmic/mystical/mythical Marvel, Doctor Strange satisfied me in way that Civil War never really could.

My pre-Dr. Strange ranking:

1) Deadpool
2) Civil War
3) Suicide Squad
4) Apocalypse
5) BvS

I'll be seeing Strange this weekend. I'm hoping it ranks in my top two since he's in my top 20 comic characters.

Pre-Strange:

1) Civil War
2) Deadpool
3) X-men Apocalypse
4) Suicide Squad
5) BvS

Been a pretty lackluster year thus far, so it's likely Strange will be my #2

1. Apocalypse - I simply enjoyed seeing certain characters brought to life: Psylocke, Archangel, young Scott, etc. Dumb fun. Same reason I like The Last Stand more than most. I thought Isaac's performance was really entertaining and fun too.

2. Batman v Superman - Like with MOS, the overall story and journey of these characters really sunk its teeth in me, though you got to wade through some boring pointless subplots (all the Lois Lane investigation stuff). Despite not reaching its potential, a Bats/Supes conflict, Supes' self-sacrifice, WW's debut...these bombastic moments are what I'm all about.

3. Suicide Squad - The art direction, the tone, and the script keep me coming back, despite the underwhelming story.

4. Deadpool - While I did enjoy it a lot on first watch, I also found it kinda obnoxious. Too many of the rapid-fire jokes didn't land for me to consider sitting through a re-watch.

5. Civil War - Incredible moments, but the overall story did nothing for me. Still not a fan of the way a lot of these MCU movies look.

All in all I got 3 really good to great movies and 3 big disappointments.

Haven't seen the other two and am not really interested in checking them out after the crap I heard about them. BvS was more than enough bs to have to swallow for 1 year.

So Doctor Strange is the first good comic movie since GotG. There was a time when the general consensus was that Iron Man 2 was filled with unnecessary subplots and that Spider-Man 3 was bloated with too many characters. Unlike now where throwing all your random toys into a sandbox is somehow viewed as worthy movie material. Doctor Strange remembers to keep it simple. No randomly tacked on mission to steal some device from The Avengers. No randomly tacked on mission to recruit some kid from a Youtube video. No desperate desire to throw in contrived jokes the entire movie or force a million self-referential pats on the back. Instead all that is left for its proper place, the end credits. Saved for the big crossover events such as Infinity War.

1. Captain America: Civil War
2. Doctor Strange
3. Apocalypse
4. Suicide Squad (Although there are less things I like about this movie, it didn't hurt me as much as BvS)

You're definitely not missing anything.

Yeah, if you want to experience the equivalent of watching Suicide Squad or Apocalypse without spending any money, just punch yourself in the balls a few dozen times.

Strong words there.
I highly enjoyed Apocalypse, might be because it's a disappointing adaption -to his fans- of a villain I normally hate, and hated less watching him here.

No thanks, I've already endured BvS once.

Saw Doctor Strange today and I really liked it, but I ended up voting for Civil War.

Not surprised by the results either.

Didn't the poll come out months before Dr. Strange?

Not exactly fair.

Also I'm shocked Deadpool has only 4 votes.
