Oh I loved it, it was nicely played by FOX to mess with my expectations by leaking the Russian conference trailer and then bam!

Trailer-wise Kingberg did a nice job, and the cinematography looks amazing. I’m not gonna lie, I really really liked the trailer. (Here’s hoping I eat all of the crows come February).

I gave it a 5. No use of powers by any of the other xmen, no good action displayed, and worst of all it appears they are going the route of X-3 Las Stand and calling the Phoenix Force some sort of psychological disorder...UGH! Why are that doing that again?? Man, watching that trailer I wanted hope that Fox would finally get it right, but this trailer has 100% confirmed that Marvel needs to the X-men back. So glad this Fox version of Xmen is coming to a close. Look at my avatar and look at my name- I'm a hardcore Xmen fan. X-men are my heart and i'm more connected with them than any other team, I just want them done in a way that pay tribute to the essence of each character from the comics. They have failed beyond words with Storm and this movie give me little hope. All the hope I have now comes from knowing Fox is finally done w/the X-men.

being the second attempt at this story (from the same studio) it should have given a whole different vibe, which it doesnt.
Same approach as X3, same Magneto in the middle, same locations.... all too similar.

The comic has a lot of potential to a whole new take, but Kinberg doesnt have the talent, I guess.

I saw no Hellfire Club, no giant cosmic firebird, no Shi’Ar, no Blue Side of the Moon, so I don’t understand how this is a Dark Phoenix story.

It looks like a remake of X3, only they just added the shuttle scene to appease us for a “comic accurate” Phoenix emergence.

Thank God this is the end.

5/10 With so many key players in the comic missing or replaced it's hard to really get on board with another new representation of this story. Especially after seeing this trailer.

Hoping to see more from the next trailer.

Seven, and that might be me being generous. And for it to have changed the narrative, it needed to be a 9/10 or higher.

I think this movie is doomed to flop now, even if the next trailer is very good. This was their one shot to change the narrative and, nope.

P.S. It is about on par with Captain Marvel. But the difference is Captain Marvel doesn't have bad buzz and isn't coming off a major disappointment (Apocalypse). This is.

Yeah... I don't know what to say. I'm tired of this iteration. I think that it was great with X-Men First Class, but they reshuffled the board.. and I just don't care about this version of Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler, etc. The only exception is Magneto... Fassbender has always played him exceptionally well.

In order for this movie to get my attention, they would have had to show that they were going to brave new places, and trying big things... but I'm not seeing that at all. And why in the heck is Mystque still an X-Man?

I gave the trailer 6/10. It was interesting I guess... but not by enough... not by a long shot.

It's not an awful trailer, it just feels like more of the same. I also think it's a mistake for a story like this that's inherently cosmic to be grounded. It doesn't make it more adult, it just looks like a budget X-film made on the cheap. But even if it had been a fantastic trailer, I'd still be ambivalent with Kinberg at the helm. Bad movies can have good trailers, so I'll wait for the reviews before I get excited.
