I'd give the trailer a 7/10
Which might seem a little low
but.............
For a teaser trailer for a movie that doesn't come out for another 7 months , I think it did just what it needed to do , nothing overly exiting , kind of by the numbers , showed the tone of the movie , showed the main characters , and pretty much none of the story
The overall reaction to the trailer has been very positive , the reason I gave it 7/10 is because you know we haven't seen nothing yet , 90% of the CGI shots probably aren't even done yet
The audience at my showing of Rogue One was tepid. We've seen Spidey like five times already so it's not really a big thing anymore, but hopefully the movie shows us something new.
I don't understand how Baby Boss got tons of cheering along with Wonder Woman. I'm a little surprised. Those movies look EHH.
It doesn't need to be something new necessarily, the movie just needs to be really good. Bad editing, plots and writing have plagued the past two to three Spidey movies--I think more than anything, that's what people are tired of. Spidey is still a very popular, enjoyable character. Surround him with a quality film and he'll win over the crowd once again.
: Very well put, hadn't considered it that way. But yeah, we could have a million Spidey films and as long as they're well made, the audience will be there.Yes, I never bought into there being a "Spider-Man fatigue." There is a "bad Spider-Man movie" fatigue. Three bad films in a row will get people to lose interest.
You know Spider-Man's line in the trailer, "this is my chance to prove myself" when he climbs up the Washington monument? That line basically describes the movie and the franchise as a whole.
I love the sound that Vulture makes when you see him close up. His breathing.
