As they should. If that ain't obvious...............Umberto and The Wrap getting thrashed by Twitter for that one.
Dang you summed it up perfectly.In my estimation, I think there are a few reasons why some are taking WB's side or are dismissing Ray (and they can fit into one or more of these categories):
1) They're bored and they want the juice. The fact that Fisher isn't providing details is not good enough and they want something more. Why? Just because or don't waste my time, leaving out the fact that anyone can also just ignore this story if they wanted to. Nobody is forced to follow the story or is entitled to all the information when they want it, how they want it.
2) There are people that are just so used to the status quo that they don't even realize that they are advocating for or defending the status quo. This is the way Hollywood is, get over it. Like, what is one actually saying here when they make this statement? They are fighting for those in power, not those that are subordinates. MLK talked about the white moderates and, while this isn't necessarily a pure parallel to that, the idea is still the same, that there are people that are too lazy or comfortable to think things could or should be better.
3) There are people who just love to have a strong opinion on anything and everything, so taking a reasoned, patient approach is out the window. I'm not talking about people who think one side may be right based on prior evidence or are examining the information so far available, but rather people who feel like they know what has happened and act as if they do. One thing the internet has greatly reduced is moderation, the middle ground, open-mindedness. Nope, I have to give my opinion on everything, and it doesn't matter how little thought I actually put into that opinion, I'm going to give it anyway, whoever gets hurt be damned, after all, I don't personally know any of the people I'm talking about and I'm just sitting here behind a keyboard. I wish people would put more stock in the value of their words. Our words represent us. Being anonymous does not change that.
Well, those are 3 categories that jump out to me.
I'm honestly speechless, I can't believe WB is still doing new hit pieces when it's this transparent
And I didn't even know people still listened to Ummmmmberto.

He reached out to WB who declined to commentDid he say he reached out to Fisher's team? At the very least, you have to do that.
Whether this is good or bad is entirely subjective tho. These articles are good for WB because they continue to paint Fisher as diva who can't back up his claims which is a prevailing sentiment outside our fan bubbleMaybe El Maybe want to do this to get back into WB’s winning circle, lol.
WB won’t touch him after this though, lol. Making things worse for Wb

Also proves there's direct communication from the Geoff Johns/WB camp to these "bloggers". I still believe there was a hit campaign against BvS by some of these bloggers(Umberto, Faraci etc), and Johns and co reaped the rewards from this. I know its a definite conspiracy theory, but the **** WB pulls, and all the evidence points towards it imo. Its no surprise WB invite these very bloggers to JL Set to appease them. And lo and behold, JL had very favourable reviews from this very crowd, and we all know about JL theatrical cut's quality.Theres no way WB went to Umberto Gonzales of all people to counter attack this. No way.
If they wanted anyone in the mainstream Hollywood trades to put out a hit piece that could even remotely make sense, they'd go to someone like Justin Kroll, not to the bottom of the barrel. 'Berto wanted clicks.
There's no doubt that there's a section of WB Execs who purposely "leak" info to bloggers and so called movie journalists, to build a narrative that suits them.Also proves there's direct communication from the Geoff Johns/WB camp to these "bloggers". We have seen this since the days of BvS. These people were doing the same tactics during Jeff Robinov's time, followed by Kevin Tusjuihara and now during Toby Emmerich's time as WB CEO.
@TheGuy,
Both.
Too many "concerns" from bloggers and influencers about the dark tone of BVS before its release panicked WB executives. So, they forced Snyder and his team to change the marketing style and cut 30 min out of the film thus ultimately leading to the disastrous Theatrical Cut.
