Justice League Ray Fisher Is Victor Stone/Cyborg

In a lot of ways, cyborg needs to really hit the mark if we want a Titans movie later on. Him and Nightwing need to be showstealers

I really don't understand why the cgi on cyborg's body isn't immaculate. they did full cg armors for Zod and co in MOS and those looked beyond flawless.

Still early, maybe? CGI does get refined from trailer to finished film so...

But, yeah, the current CGI looks wonky. Like he's wearing a greensuit over everything but half his face and they couldn't match up the Cyborg parts quite right.

I still think Cyborg should be part of the Titans instead of JL. I hope by the final trailer that the cgi is fixed because wooow, I didn't like how the suit looked at all.

Zods CGI suit in MoS was really very good

Cyborg however looks horebdous

I guess I'm in the minority of actually liking the CGI on Cyborg. IMO he didn't look bad as some are saying. I actually rewatched MOS last night and Zods CGI body armor didn't always look good especially the smallville scene.

It doesn't look bad, and it will likely only look better in eight months.

Are you all looking at the "head bob" in that close up shot when you talk about his head floating?

Because that's him nodding as part of his dialogue. He's using body language and acting.

I wish he had more human flesh on him than just his face.

Interesting that Bruce doesn't say Victor's name in the trailer, when he says Arthur's and Barry's. Perhaps a bit of mystery to the proceedings about who and what Cyborg is.

Cyborg looks great when he's moving, it's when he's still that the Cgi looks off.

Cyborg looks terrible. But I'm hoping he somehow evolves into a less fluid and more standard metallic suit. Maybe he's still learning control.

Still I loved the Avengers even though I thought Caps suit was terrible and now after a few movies he has the best costume of the group. Hoping for the same here.

Pray to god Cyborg has a breakout performance because that suit aint gonna win him any fans.

I think Cyborg looks all right, CGI could be better but I don't think it's too distracting. Just might notice it in a few scenes perhaps.

I'll go along with what Zack Snyder said recently about Cyborg being the heart of the film. Given his tragic backstory and the traumatic 'birth' of Cyborg in addition to his relationship with Silas Stone; his story will have a lot of pathos to it.

There is not a lot in the trailer on Victor as a character. I didn't get to much of a sense of what he's going to be like as compared to Aquaman or Flash. It naturally leads to wondering exactly what the take will be? Heavy on the pathos, a man who had the life he expected taken from him? Someone who embraces his new role? Is he out for vengeance against Apokalips for his father?

In relation to your questions, all the above. Plus if this borrows from JL:War in terms of Victor's unresolved issues with Silas: such as Silas believing metahumans make human athletes obsolete. Then this could provide some interesting drama. Particularly if Silas is killed and Victor never gets to reconcile his differences. Although I really hope he isn't killed off like they did with Emil Hamilton and Zod for instance.

Hmm... I really never considered at all Morton as Solas living through to the end. I would be down with him being the League's science consultant... If he lives through Cy's solo of course.

I Think that problem is the awful design of the suit, no matter how much they "polish" the CGI, it would look only marginally better.

The crumpled aluminum foil exterior and the color of his suit and the odd design of his helmet, don't gel with his human face.

Isn't that the point? A human might design a cyborg body differently but he had no say in the matter. Didn't the motherbox do this?

I could see that if he gains more control he will be able to adapt it...

I hope he can give himself some upgrades to make himself look more complete.

I feel like my problem with the design isn't the CGI. I just really want something to break up the grey. Maybe some more human parts, or some blue(?). I can live with it though.

To be honest, at first I didn't really like the idea of Cyborg being in Justice League, since to me, he'll always be a Teen Titan (plus his inclusion pretty much guaranteed no second female member). But Ray Fisher's excitement and love for the character has definitely got me pumped to see him onscreen. Those "Borg Life" shirts are just too cute.

I am half and half on people's thoughts on Cyborg as he looks in what we've seen so far. I mean there is an unnatural look to him, or at least when I focus on his head... On the other hand I think that perhaps that is the point. I think that strangeness which might be "ruining" the SFX is not going to be fixed. When you look at him in motion I think the point is to make the orientation of his head on his body seem off. I think there was a different mandate as compared to say, Zod's CGI armor from MOS. There it was just make it seem like stuff a humanoid body was wearing. Here it's to make it seem like the entire frame or the character, from the neck down is mostly an artificial construction mimicking human anatomy. I won't be surprised if there actually is little done to "improve" the basic SFX come release.

I too think they are trying to make the armor look unnatural. It is from a different planet to begin with. The armor may not shine or shadow like material found on earth.
