Justice League Ray Fisher - WB Investigation Updates Thread

I am having trouble understanding ray’s endgame here. Does he want every single person fired and never work again? Whedon, johns, hamada, emmerich, etc.

I thought the investigation was done and actions were taken? When does it end for ray?

I also don’t understand going to twitter everyday to fire people up with no complete story. People are having to choose one side or the other without knowing anything.

It just seems like this is never going to end. For him to go on about this then this must be MASSIVE ABUSE. Like very very very bad. There are so many horror stories of movie production that never ends like this. This must have taken it to a whole new level.

I think Ray's main problem is with Geoff Johns and Jon Berg, and how Johns threatened his career and enabled Joss's abusive behaviour. I think he basically wants these 3 removed from positions of power. And probably an apology from Hamada for the **** he has tried to pull with Ray with the hitpieces and trying to save Johns in expense of Berg and Whedon.

I don’t think Ray’s endgame if for folks to lose their jobs. Think he just wants them to admit what happened and take genuine steps to prevent stuff like that from happening again.

I honestly think a public apology could have ended all of this month's ago.

I honestly think a public apology could have ended all of this month's ago.

I dont know, for some that would have been too little and in the end it seems rather empty.
Publicly apologizing but then continuing keeping abusive people around possibly?
Because we are talking about Abuse, including racism and sexual missconduct(did i get that wrong or was that also mentioned in all this?).

Fisher was never out for just an apology, for that he was targeting the same people way too hard.
He wanted them out of their positions without question.

And now his goal is getting Hamada out.

My problem is that it just keeps feeling more like something purely personal and not his attempt to make the industry in general better.
He keeps focusing on the same people and not the general problem.
Because if there are abusive people in the company, its not just 4-5 im afraid.

But maybe he just wants to focus on them for now and later build this up to fight abuse in the industry as a whole.
Who knows.
For now he is after Hamadas head.

I think the stubborn refusal to admit that any kind of mistreatment occurred, the constant stonewalling from WB, is as big a part of the problem as whatever happened onset. The lack of anyone taking responsibility, of anyone even conceding that this even happened is a major issue.
It would have went a long way if someone like Hamada, in a real position of power, had said something like:
"Yes there were mistakes, we're sorry and we are taking measures to ensure it won't be allowed to happen again."

The attitude WB took made a real difference in how it played out. Imagine if from the beginning, instead of closing ranks and taking a defensive posture, they admitted the problem and took responsibility. Every time there was a denial or a Frosty announcement, WB was digging an even deeper hole, and forcing Fisher to take a tougher stance.

An early admission and apology and this whole thing would have gone very differently.

The Hamada news puts Ray's earlier tweet in a new light. He probably heard Hamada was not being removed and was instead having his contract renewed, prompting the vow to never work on a film he's involved in again.

I can appreciate Ray sticking to his guns here, but I don’t think much else is going to come in terms of disciplinary action, especially towards someone like Hamada. The internal investigation appears to be over and whatever recourse available has already been taken.

well there are other studios and other movies that fisher can work on plus he has his theater background.

Fisher will be fine. he seems a decent actor, decent human but he is not irreplaceable as cyborg.

Good riddance. To me he was just upset that he lost out on playing a superhero. That’s what all his groaning was about. Fisher is a nobody in Hollywood and Whedon has it within his power to say “you either say the line that I wrote or else I’m going to ****ing get rid of you”. Period. End of story.

Yeah, Ray Fisher made it all up and Jason Momoa backed him up because... um... y'know... because...

He didn't make anything up because his accusations were always vague and non-specific. He could be speaking his truth and being overdramatic at the same time.

Didnt they announce that actions were made after the investigation was done? Ray was happy for a second and said glad it was done.

Now it just goes back to....him being angry. I think he wants everyone fired and never work again. He obviously knows that if he keeps going public that this will cause them to never work again in this industry.

Not sure what else needs to be done at this point. Investigation was done and “actions” were taken. But now he is saying he will never work with hamada again which is basically saying he needs to be fired.

If it’s true that Hamada didn’t seriously try to investigate issues of workplace misconduct on the part of Geoff Johns, then he absolutely should be fired.

That's the spirit.

How does it feel to side with an abusive pig? A person who almost nobody likes working with. You’re a real winner.

It’s just telling to me how folks like @emc5466 have latched onto this idea that Ray is upset about his role being reduced or whatever. He’s never said anything to indicate that. All he’s said is he’s good with his career in Hollywood ending and that he won’t work with Hamada in the future.

Cognitive dissonance is a *****.

why are people calling fisher names. there is fishers truth, WBs truth and the actual truth. we all should be on the side of the actual truth.

it makes no sense to me to pick WBs side. they are a giant corporation. they do not really care about the individual. money is all that matters

Also no one here knows Fisher or any of these celebrities personally. do not take their side either. people here are guessing his motivations. you can never trully know. he has to keep things close to his chest

That was to be expected.
But i honestly didnt saw any reason for Cyborg to be in it.
Of course in the snydercut he and Flash could have a stronger Friendship or so, but going with the version we have so far...i didnt really saw cyborg as neccessary.

The character in general was just not that memorable, so i do think they could have Recast him.
But with what is going on, i can see why they didnt do that...may look bad.

And absolutly, if Hamada wanted to sweep this completely under the rug, he needs to be fired.
That is the question here.
It was a super bad idea from DC to make it public that hamada re-upped his deal...bad timing.

Where can they go from here, really? If the investigation is done and Hamada was given even more job security after the fact, what’s next? I can’t help but feel like it simply ends with everyone involved going their own separate ways.

unless Ray has some big bombshell that he’s been withholding this entire time.

WB has chosen to stick with Amber Heard even after it was exposed that she was a domestic abuser. I literally have no sympathy for any higher-ups in that company, and if Ray feels he has been wronged (which he very clearly has been), then he has the right to express it.

Either way, I'm pretty sure he had some inkling that he was burning bridges with WB.

He said the follow up was key. Most likely he expected more consequences and was upset to see tat so far it looks like only Whedon got punished. Hamada certainly didn't.

So no Don Cheadle?

I seriously don’t get the idiots running WB

They keep Amber Heard around yet can Johnny Depp and Ray Fisher
