Something that needs to be reined in from here on out is the spending. It's out of control. This movie should not have cost 250 million dollars BEFORE reshoots and certainly not 300 million after.

They need to bring in someone who will keep the spending under control.

For a movie that looks like it was shot entirely on a soundstage, they musta spent a lot on the CGI fights

As I have said before I don't know nor do I care where they should go from here. All I care about is if they put out more Superman movies. However right now it seems like their focus is on the Bat-Family and Wonder Woman and that's it for the most part. It for the most part looks like we won't be seeing another Superman movie until their hand is forced pretty much like how it was with Man of Steel.

Also, why are all the villains 8 feet tall lol. Ares, doomsday, Steppenwolf, even zod had a giant on his team.
Maybe have a villain next time that's like 2 feet tall that is stronger than all of them. Lol, I kid of course.

Seriously. The fact that the CGI in this movie looks SO fake when they're spending this kinda money on it is inexcusable.

It is true that the MCU has the most likeable characters, but parts on the approach of Superman in Man of Steel are also very likeable. When Cavill (and the director) lets the charm flow, he is actually really good in the role.

I agree. But I feel like a few more scenes in MOS could have brought that out, and MANY more scenes of that in BvS would have been an improvement.

They have more control over CGI. They can change and rearrange and shape things again if they want to, specially in a movie this big with so many moving parts and "too many cooks in the kitchen".

with CGI you can tweak however you like in post production so i guess that's why some directors prefer CGI over practical.

Fling literally any combination of the above together and audience will come out to see it

I'm not talking about the characters, but the actors. Marvel has hit the nail bang on the head with their casting, and virtually all of their actors/actresses have come across as fun, likeable people who seem to have a great time doing their job together. RDJ is the only one with any scandal of note, and even that was a long, long time ago - he's turned his life round completely.

DC for the most part have also cast wisely; Cavill is a great Superman and also a great ambassador for Superman, just as Reeve was. Miller is a lot of fun, as is Momoa, and Gadot/Fisher seem like great people also. Affleck is slightly different; he always seems a little disjointed from the rest of the group in interviews and so on, and I'm not sure if this is a personal thing or just his manner. I have zero interest in his personal life but it would be foolish to deny that reports of affairs, alcoholism, ties to Weinstein and so on have not had some kind of effect; that much is evident from some forums and media sites I've seen.

See when you put it this way that's why I think each one of them is perfect for their role because their personalities from what we know or have seen is just like their comic counterparts.

Why they went fully CGi with Steppenwolf is beyond me.

If the character is humanoid with 2 arms and 2 legs and facially, resembles us - nose, eyes, ears, mouth - then why CGi it all and have it looking so fake, instead of going with prosthetics? It's not like Korg in Thor Ragnarok where they had to make him look like he was made of stone.

Yeah, Zod's suit in MOS didn't look fake at all to me. Something like that could have worked.

And he probably would've if they didn't reshoot most of the movie and just let things stay as they planned. Hell rumor is Darkseid was even in this movie and that was cut as well. I gave this movie an 8/10 only because of Superman if not for him I would've rated this movie as a 4 or 5 mainly because it isn't the movie we were promised and while they said this is still Zack's movie it clearly wasn't.

And I'm not against CG, but when you have a closeup of a character, or a wide shot of a city, the use of CG is kinda crazy.
Remember the CG superman flying at the end of SR? that was so uncalled for.
Faces still aren't quite there yet as for as looking "alive."
Now, if they are covered with a mask, then have at it, CG them until your heart is content.
Nothing takes me out of a film quicker than obvious CG, but maybe that's just me tho.

Umm, no. Steppenwolf was always meant to be a full CGI character. Ciaran Hinds didn't do mo-cap work like Michael Shannon did as Zod. I'm not even sure if he was on set.

I wouldn't put Iron Man on that list. Many people have said that Iron Man ruined Spiderman: Homecoming, and I agree. He ruined his own franchise, and seems keen on ruining other people's franchises.

I think they "soft reboot" all properties. This allows them the keep what worked (namely Gal's WW) and change whatever necessary. Continuity will probably be loosely maintained. Interconnectivity of the larger cinematic universe will be de-emphasized.

Oh I agree but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have looked much better. Think about it. If they had just kept the movie as it was before you would've had about 7-8 months of post production that could've fixed him much like what they had with MoS instead of having only about 3 months or less to finish everything.

Yes, he's working on Westworld, but I'm sure with enough incentive he might be persuaded to take on a role at DC. And while Chris is done with comic movies, I'd like to think he might take an interest in the background again if his brother was running things.

They need Flashpoint to do a soft reboot, and they need to kick Eisenberg's Luthor to the curb. I have no idea why in the movies Luthor is a crazy scheming idiot, and in every other medium he's a calculating businessman trying to stop aliens.

Walmart had BvS and MoS in a two pack for $15 this weekend, I thought about it and having just saw JL remembered Eisenberg was in BvS and said, pass, and I'm slightly OCD about collecting superhero movies for home.

I'll probably get it eventually but after having just seen that end credits scene with Eisenberg I was like nope, not gonna, nopers. WW was the whole $15. So that says a lot.

So they should delay Aquaman, have Flashpoint retcon a whole mess of stuff, then go forward from there, another Solo Superman, Solo Batman, WW2, Green Lantern, and then a new Justice League.

Kevin Feige isn't a screenwriter, and therein lies the difference. He's a business person who has a passion/knowledge of the characters. You need to find somebody who is a balance of both, not all in one direction (businessman or creative).

Flashpoint is a bad idea. People didn't turn up to a Justice League movie, what makes anyone think they'll show up for the "soft reboot" movie. You don't need a movie to address changes in the universe.
