now im going to be very negative about this but if we don't get to see a ff3 i don't think we will get a reboot in the next 8 years, because to be fair they made the 1994 movie which wasn't even released which is proberly down to many reasons and when fox made ff they had the budget to show everything they wanted from the comics, so what new stuff could they show in a reboot? they already done used silver surfer and if they make a movie about him too and if its successfull it makes the chances of a ff reboot with the silver surfer difficult

to go on other marval movies, hulk only made it too one movie and doesn't look like people warmed too it all that well so they still had a chance to continue it but change it, to be fair if the new one fails, i wouldn't expect a new one anytime soon.
and x-men, i don't think a reboot will be done at all, because they are already trying the solo movies giving these charactors a recognised movie of there own, and also because fox love wolverine aka Hugh Jackman and proberly would be too afraid to replace him. if anything id say a tv series would be more likely next.
moving away from marval and looking at the batman franchise, the original franchise come to a tragic end with batman and robin its only fair that they try and bring it back to its routes.

this is just my apinion, i think after 2 films of ff, many have warmed too it and fox clearly had some faith in it after the first, either that or they were just promised the use of a solo silver surfer movie, but i think once u start making spin offs, its very difficult to reboot it, i except any arguements u might give to this :)

I don't want to see a reboot. Either let it die, or make sequels with the existing cast. I think if there is a FF3 it will require a new director, and I'd hope they could get the cast back, but even with a different cast ala TIH, it doesn't need a reboot.

Not unless it goes to another studio or Tom Rothman gets replaced with someone who respects super-heroes.

With any luck Marvel will do any future FF movies themselves.

I hate to say it but this series needs a reboot. The only reason why I'm scared of a reboot is because then we run the risk of losing Chris Evans and more importantly....Michael Chiklis. If a reboot series is started anytime soon, he deserves to be in it because of how dedicated he is to pulling off the role he earned.

They can afford to lose all four actors, the director and writers. A Hulk like reboot with no origin for Fantastic Four would be great. New cast, new director and writer(s). The potential for FF is still great, but the right people would have to be involved, this means no one from the previous films.
