Colin Farrell would be my first choice.
Teen Tony for IM 4, suckas!!!
James Franco as Iron Man is a sweet idea. Someone suggested him for Batman and i hated that idea but him as Iron Man actually makes sense
I love James Franco and I love Iron Man. Obviously its the perfect choice.
Franco's definitely an interesting choice. He would bring something new to the character which is important for the post RDJ era when it happens. He could absolutely play irrational and unbalanced genius which is what makes Tony so interesting.
Charlie Sheen for Iron Man
Whatever they do, I won´t be watching. 20+ years shall pass before I am interested in a remake featuring another actor.
I say we go into the past and bring young RDJ back with us to play tony stark
But they have mentioned they werent going to outright remake it but recast and keep moving forward James Bond style. Although I dont know what kind of effect that has on Avengers
yeah its kinda ridiculous to make claims like, "if it isnt RDJ I REFUSE TO WATCH IT"
-_- there will always be IM1-3... why not enjoy the future of IM as well?
Cuz people be silly and irrational.
I think they should make a CGI version of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and have Andy Serkis perform him.
So the character would be recasted, BUT look exactly the same in the Cinematic Universe.
there's no filling those shoes. but, if forced to choose...Matt Boehmer? :shrugs:
If RDJ decides he doesnt want to do it anymore, yeah the top three choices seem to be:
Matt Bomer would be intriguing.
james franco wouldn't be bad..he doesn't have natural charm though..nor do I think he can talk too fast
i don't feel as if Colin Farrell can do vulnerability. i think it's essential to the character of Tony Stark because, otherwise, he's kind of a cocky *********.
I like the idea of Farrell, to be honest.
I agree thats an important trait for Stark. But that got me thinking. How about Colin Farrell in Phone Booth? Not a great movie, but decent and I think it shows what you're looking for. That or SWAT maybe. Same deal.
Colin Farrell in In Bruges. Lots of vulnerability
There is no such thing as an Iron Man without RDJ.
lol. okay Joss Whedon.
Somehow I doubt that's what the real Joss Whedon would think.
