Does anyone else really dig Spidey's old red and black suit from the early days? It always seemed more spidery to me.

I've always loved it, but I've never known anyone that felt the same way. Most people hated it. It was actually a coloring mistake at first during Larsen's run, and he kept it going a bit to see how fans would react. It was just a failed experiment, that's all, not really meant to be a "new" costume.

but I thought it was fly.

I liked it.

I prefer the red and blue obviously but, it was a nice little change though.

Now that I think about it, the Red and Black is a pretty nice sight.

Red and dark blue is better. But having variations is a good thing

I totally prefer the red and black... with maybe a bit of blue highlighting.

It's used well in this cover.

It depends. Sometimes it looks great and then others not so much.

I've always liked it more then the Red and blue. I heard that originally the symbiote suit was going to have red eyes and a red spider, and I think that would have rocked.

I loved the Red and Black. Even more so than Red and blue.

I loved it.

The Famous Covers Spider-Man figure from about ten years ago has him in his red and black outfit, and it looks great!

The early to mid 90's were so kool. *sigh*

I've always liked the Black/Red better than the Blue/Red costume.

It's my personal favorite Spidey costume.

The red and black looks awsome. I too prefer it over the red and blue. I think the black makes Spidey look more serious. IMO.

But seriously, They should bring the red and blacks back at some point down the line.

Red and black is so sexy. So is cat.

I agree it DOES look more spidery...in fact, the coloring reminds me of tarantula spiders who often have either yellow or red markings over black (sometimes orange).
