When does level three dead eye happen? Cause I was about to do a perfect lynching save when dead eye auto targeted the guy's horse... who then decided to fight me because of that... and let's just say, one brother still died that day.

i just got it...you have to get to mexico and meet Ricketts

Is anyone else going for the Legend status on the multiplayer? or are you stopping after reaching level 50?

There are 4 levels of legend and you have to restart each time, losing your mounts, weapons and such but keeping your characters...ugh it seems so much repetitiveness to unlock the bull, zebra donkey, buffalo, and another bull

What do you get the first time you reach level 50? I'll get to it, and then keep playing, but not as intense as I am now.

Anyone having a problem with the Kill two cougars with your melee knife? Go into dead eye with your revolver...shoot the cougars rear leg...press start and go to weapons...pick your knife...slash that bastard:)

at level 50 you get the buffalo rifle...

Red Dead Redemption Legendary Unlocks

After reaching level 50, Red Dead Redemption players are presented with a choice. They can either remain at level 50, retaining all the weapons and mounts they've unlocked, or choose to "pass into legend" and start over from level 1, retaining access to playlists, titles, characters, and golden guns but losing everything else. The obvious comparison here is to Call of Duty's "Prestige" system. There are four levels of legendary status, each with unique additional mounts and titles to unlock.

Certain mounts are also unlocked earlier on when you're making your way through the prestige ranks, ensuring you're not stuck on low-level transportation for very long. Here are the legendary unlockables:

The first Red Dead Redemption legendary unlockable comes at level 11, when you'll unlock the Cleveland Bay mount. This takes happens at level 11 for all four ranks of legendary.

At rank 15, you'll unlock the Hungarian Half Bred, provided you are on at least your second level of legendary.

Revolver in Red Dead RedemptionFor those on their first run through legendary, the Hungarian Half Bred is unlocked at rank 22. For those on legendary ranks 2-4, the American Standard-Bred will be unlocked at 22.

At rank 26, those on either level 3 or 4 of legendary will unlock the Bonzo mount, a ridable bull.

Rank 33 has unlockables for all four ranks of legendary. On the first playthrough, you'll unlock the American Standard-Bred at 33. For round two, you'll get the Bonzo mount. Afterward, in rank 3 and 4 of legendary, you'll get the Buffalo mount at this level.

Rank 37 has a unique unlock for those on level 4 of legendary, the Albino Buffalo mount.

Rank 40 also has multiple unlocks. On level 1 of legendary, you'll get the Bonzo mount at 40. On your second time through, the Buffalo is unlocked here. On the third time through the legendary ranks, you'll get the Albino Buffalo at rank 40.

On your fourth time through legendary, you'll get the Super Bull mount at rank 42.

Each level of legendary has its own unique unlock at level 50. On level 1, you'll unlock the Buffalo mount here. The second time through, you'll get the Albino Buffalo at rank 50. The Super Bull mount is unlocked on level 3 of legendary and the Zebra Donkey can only be attained by reaching max level on your fourth time through the legendary ranks.

Just got the game today. It's ****ing awesome!! I spent the whole day playing and it is everything that I had hoped it would be.

He's either God or the devil depending on how you want to look at it, the devil makes more sense it's just a downer of an ending for John since he goes through this whole process of redemption for all his evil ways. I think that his whole storyline with the grave and the quick glimpse is just absolutely fantastic that Rockstar did something like that in the game. Just another reason why its one of the best games ever.

The errands he sends you on let you choose a path based on your morality. Plus his dialogue hints more towards the devil.

"You kill so easily. I wish my son could be just like you."

The anti-christ.

"That's okay, you've forgotten others far more important than myself."

John has forgotten God.

"I'm an accountant of sorts. Here doing accounts."

Like collecting souls, the devil comes to earth to tempt men.

"Damn you!"
"Many have."

:awesome: Very cool, they really did their research even including superstition. Anyone read the paper about paranormal activity in Tumbleweed? Maaan after inhalin some herb, roaming around there at night is some scary s**t. :woot:

Just beat the single player story...HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIII----:D:eek::D

Most badass way to end a game ever? Psh. Yeah.

something bad happened in Tumbleweed....you don't need to inhale anything to know that

Just finished the single player, did many of other side quests.

I give the game a 90%

It is truly a superb game, with an absolutely awesome atmospheres. The music, the story, the land, the beauty of it all. The depth in the land the things you can do only adds more to the fun. The graphics are great, the sound is even better. The voice acting never hits a bad level. There are awesome missions and just great weapons.

The multiplayer adds even more which is amazing.

But having said all that. To me GTAIV was better for one reason. Challenge. RDR was way too easy. I think them taking the action from GTA and putting it into this world made it easy. Since there is a less advanced weapons, it makes it too easy and the enemies hardly ever killed me. The chases were almost not challenging at all, because slower speed and such open plains and deserts the missions never were hard. The ending really slacked and slowed down too quick, then had a good last mission.

I just never had sweat beading down my forehead like GTAIV with some of the intense fast chases that had so many obstacles since the world was so full of cars and cops. And you had to be careful of both.

Having said that RDR is a must buy, but I think GTAIV had way more challenge and heart pumping moments. But with out a doubt the best western game. I can't wait to see RDR2.

Didn't think it was hard enough? Well i suppose you could say the missions weren't terribly difficult... but try getting chased by a pack of cougars or a few grizzlies whilst on foot. That gets the heart racing believe me.

Earlier today i got tag teamed by a friggin wild boar and a cougar! The wild boar knocked me over, then this cougar came out of no where and finished me off. The ****ers! :argh:

Agreed, Soli. The only remotely challenging thing about the game was the dueling, but once you get the hang of it, it's a walk in proverbial park. Every mission basically entailed shooting hordes of baddies who don't really shoot back. I guess it got kinda of repetitive, but the awesome characters and cutscenes made me not care that much.

If you get surprised or caught in a confined space by enemies you get killed well quick though.

Like those bastards who use a damsel in distress as bait. The first few times i got mullered by them within seconds, literally. If you put a bit of distance between yourself and them then Dead Eye em though it's a cinch.

Reminds me of the Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Ive actually died really easily a few times when there were hoards of guys shooting at me. Then again, I forgot that there was cover mechanic in the game...

I think i died less times in GTA4 than in this to be honest. You can take a lot of punishment in GTA, in this you can only take like, 3 or 4 shots. Plus i pretty much always had armour in GTA.

Soon I'll get paid. And once I hold my hard earned cash in my hands, the next thing I'll do is to rush to the nearest games store to purchase this game.

I only played it a little bit when my friend brought it over and it was really fun. I shot a few Coyotes, which was surprisingly easy since I watched the review of the game before. So I knew about the auto-aim and was picking them off one by one. And I beat Bonnie pretty easily in the race. On my second try... I would have beat her on the first, but I kinda missed the bridge...

The gameplay just feels pretty natural, very fast.

Game Stop's having a deal where I can sell them Borderlands & MW2, & then get this game for $20. Should I do it?

I'm bored with MW2 & I don't really like BL.

I don't know how but that's not the point. I hate regenerate health. It's cheap. When you don't have it, and you have a long mission and there is no health around, it becomes a challenge. Additionally. It did take more hits in GTA IV, but the weapons were grenade launchers helicopters and fully automatic machine guns left and right. Not bolt action riffles.

That and the speed chases in GTA were much much faster, and much more a condensed traffic world with obstacles every five feet. While RDR was empty. Not many obstacles or anything. In a car in GTA if you were running away from the cops (which you only do once in RDR) you could easily run into so many things and die quickly. That and the guns caused more damage.

But this easy thing was in most reviews of RDR so I knew that it would happen. GTA IV I think was longer more exciting and more challenging.

However saying that RDR is still a great game. And by no means bad.

I thought it was plenty challenging for me I can't count how many times I died playing this game. However i'm not really a fan of the shooter and rarely finish those kind of games but I did finish this one.
