I'll be at a restaurant and I'll be completely full to the point were I can't even move. Still, there is a little bit of food left. Of course, I am way too full to finish it... so I don't.

But then later on in the day I'll think about the food I had earlier and I'll go "Man, I wish I finished that plate!"

What the hell??

Just eat it and if you puke you can atleast say "well atleast I finished it".

why would you do that? If I can't eat it, I just leave that **** there, or usually the people I go out with are bottomless pits, so they always ask if they can finish off whatever I didn't eat.

Sometimes it isn't that simple. :csad:
lol

So many obstacles. So many factors. It just...isn't that simple! You don't understand!:wow:

thats dumb its like saying "man im hungry...... wish i ate that cow last week i saw in a feild"

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, throughout the course of this trial you are going to hear a lot of eyewitness and expert testimony about the pandemic of obesity in America. It's a very emotional issue, to be sure, but we must be diligent in sticking to the actual facts in this case rather than letting the emotional triggers that are tied to it cloud our judgment. I'd like to refer to JP's testimony as Exhibit A and reference it later in the trial as a primary example of how the American populace has been victimized by the sinister food peddlers of the system as part of a larger initiative to prey on people's senses of value and guilt in an attempt to not only ensure the American populace's addiction to food continues but to in effect cause each customer to become larger and more obese and therefore able to consume MORE of the product these merchants of cellulose sell to them at a tidy profit margin.

^You and your mock trials. :oldrazz:

Though I do see that most places and people make you feel like you HAVE to get as much food as possible when you eat out. I want my money's worth, they say. Moron, you're not supposed to gorge yourself because you paid more than normal.

if you can;t clear your plate you're not ready to know the mystical secret of the Scampi in a Basket...

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, while Terry's testimony certainly represents an unpopular viewpoint in our culture, and not one that is shared by the majority of the populace, he does point out that "most places and people make you feel like you HAVE to get as much food as possible when you eat out". No, it's not expert testimony, but it does illustrate that some members of the populace are conscious that they are being guilted and persuaded into overeating by restaurateurs. Again, it's brilliant if not nefarious of these pushers of edibles to play on the emotions of their customers, sometimes with their knowledge, to literally grow their customer base. The bigger each customer is, the more food they can consume and therefore the more they will pay for each meal. A really simple equation, really.

the answer of a female

there are many things to be taken into acount when deciding to leave things on the plate...many...many things

Like what? Trying to figure out if they did anything to it before they gave it to you in a doggy bag & reheating it?

no...if you're male and with other men the clearing of the plate is something that MUST be done. if on your own it's ok to leave parts of fish and a few peas and what not...but with company you must always clear the plate...it is seen as weakness if you do not...

I'd like to submit Lored Value-Mart's testimony as Exhibit B. It is a perfect example of exactly the sort of mindset full of misperceptions the Captains of Cuisine are working to instill and perpetuate. And he's not even American. THAT is how far their reach truly is.

Remember that Family Guy where they all went to the steakhouse and everyone was ragging on Joe because he wouldn't finish the rest of his? The Brian is like, "ok, Joe..put the gun down...right here next to your purse."

With guys & their buddies...:o If I go out to eat somewhere with all my girl friends, I'm sure we'll all leave something.:ninja:
