September 18, 2006 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer is making a comeback. Not in the form of a new TV show or a feature film, but as a comic book. Written by series creator Joss Whedon, with art by Georges Jeanty (American Way), Buffy: Season 8 picks up after the end of the TV series, with Sunnydale destroyed and Buffy in charge on an army of slayers. Of course, the good times never last for Buffy. In the first four-issue story arc, an old menace will resurface, though details on who this might be remain guarded.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

I've had this on my pull list for two months already so march can't come soon enough :D

I should have posted this yesterday, I mean geez, I would have at least capitalized Buggy:cmad:

I'll give the first issue a shot. Hopefully, without Sarah Michelle Gellar channeling her dissatisfaction with being tied to a lowly cult TV series into the role, Buffy will be much less of a ***** than she was in season 7.

Ugh, season 7 was good Corp, SMG was good in it.:cmad: You need to reassess it with a repeat viewing:o

Even if she WAS pissed that season, which I don't think she was, I'm pretty sure I would be pissed too after getting robbed of an emmy nom for at least season 5:o

Whatever, SMG's a *****. That's why her initials are the same as a whole class of guns. What good person would have the same initials as weaponry? :whatever:

What are you talking about Corp, SMG is the greatest set of initials ever. For instance:

Sarah Michelle Gellar
Super Mario Galaxy
Sexy Man Goiter

So Many Gays
Super Market Giveaway
Soggy Menstrual Glob

I'm pretty sure you're overrreacting. SMG wasn't channeling anything during season 7. It was a natural progression of the character.

Ugh, way to ruin our fun Abaddon.:whatever: Sometimes I wish you were dead.:cmad: Now Corp has to come and whine some more:whatever: Thanks, Abaddon.:cmad:

I didn't read much after his post. You're f**king welcome.:cmad:

I can't hear you over the sound of you dying in my imagination:whatever:

Really? I wasn't aware that nice people naturally progressed into *****es. Thank you for that sparkling bit of wisdom. Say, I've been relatively nice for most of my life--when do you think I can look forward to my own descent into *****dom?

Because it sure sounds like it's started already.:o

Seriously, Buffy season 7 was about war. Buffy had to be a general. She didn't handle it perfectly, she realized that by the end:o

While Buffy Season Eight sounds good, I'd much rather see Angel Season Six. Having Spike, Angel, and Illyria (barely) survive their encounter with Wolfram & Hart's army by the greatest tactic of all (I/E, killing a bunch of them and running away), and becoming sort of urban vigilantes, taking on both demonic and human crime, would be pretty damn cool.

I'm gonna freak when I find my fist in a hole through your esophagus and you bleeding to death all over me:cmad:

and I was hoping for a fisting. Sorry about the tags but seriously man, him and lorne have some pretty cool pseudo married couple banter so it's not like it's not justified
