release date announced for Buffy season 8

I'm always careful not to spoil when Jake is around. Not that he appreciates it.:cmad:

Really? I wasn't aware that nice people naturally progressed into *****es. Thank you for that sparkling bit of wisdom. Say, I've been relatively nice for most of my life--when do you think I can look forward to my own descent into *****dom?

Were paying attention during the time the show was on? She went through a ridiculous amount of traumatic **** for six years and you think somehow those things weren't going to affect her?

And don't act like she hasn't been a b**ch before.(i.e., after her first resurrection;ostracizing Jenny Calendar;etc.):whatever:

I accepted that she was a ***** after she had just been torn out of Heaven because she'd just been torn out of Heaven. Check back on what I've been saying; I've never once claimed that her being a ***** was not justifiable, I'm just saying that she was a ***** and I preferred her when she wasn't.

Buffy sucks, always has, always will.

Again, this is dumb, reactionary postering, generally the kind coming from people who have only heard the show's name and seen a few scenes out of context.

No, it's coming from people who have seen it, and realized just how badly it sucks. And this is badly.

Coming from a Prison Break fan, that doesn't really mean a whole lot. :(

I don't like Prison Break:yay:

But I do like Smallville:csad:

I watch it for the 4 good eps per season:csad:

Y'know, I've heard that before and, being the good natured fellow I am, I believed it. Ended up watching the whole first season of the show. Later, I laughed at myself for wasting a good 15 hours of my life. :(

Come now CConn, there were only 13 episodes, and they were only 42 minutes long. That is well under 15 hours.:o

Seriously though Buffy really became what we all know and love in its second season. I still enjoyed the first season though.:o

I've heard that from Buffy fans too. The shows I most enjoy - currently, at least - have, honestly, grabbed me in the first five minutes of...the first episode. To have to wait, and watch, a season, or two, or even three I've heard, before a show really "delivers" is...really not a fair request of the audience.

buffy didn't really peak from my point of view till the third season. Give that a try and you'll be hard pushed to still dislike it. Trust me when I say that once this show got going it was awesome!

Hmm. Alright, I'll give it one episode. Hush? I've wasted 15 hours, what's 3 more?

God, I procrastinate too much. :(

I don't think the creators were requesting anything. They just didn't really hit their stride until season two. It happens.

If you want an example of why buffy is so great check out the episodes "band candy" and "faith hope and trick". For me these were two of the standout episodes from season 3

And there's not a good torrent of Season 3. :o

I wasn't speaking of the creators, but more the fans.

Plus, you gotta take into consideration I'm a guy who watched all of Firefly, and still thinks it's barely above average. :o

Seriously man, if I have to I'll hunt you down and kill you slowly. I'm not messing around :cmad:

The first season is really just a bunch of standalone episodes and a few continuing arcs. I literally went through it and only watched the arc episodes (Welcome to Hellmouth, The Harvest, Never Kill a Boy on the First Date, Angel, Prophecy Girl). I think it greatly improves the standing of the first season, for one thing, but it also gets you through to the good stuff that lies in wait for season two.

Most fans seem to even consider season 2 as the real beginning of the show. Season 1 is really more of a dry run.

After all, Hitchcock had to make Saboteur before he made North by Northwest, didn't he?

Meh, whatever. Different strokes.

I'll give it a shot depsite the fact I disliked the last two seasons of Buffy.

good, gives me some time then...anyone know when the new Firefly/Serenity comic hits?
