BvS Release date question?

Sorry if this has been asked or discussed before. But, why are they waiting until 2016 to release this movie? It seems like filming will be completed soon. Is it due to special effects or are they filming the Justice League movie as soon as this finishes?

Filming doesn't wrap until December. But the reason WB moved it to 2016 is to try and wrest the early May slot from Marvel Studios.

And the fact that JL will be shot back-to-back with this as well.

THR, Latino Review and Finke have said that they're filming back-to-back, and I believe it was maybe The Wrap or Variety that mentioned it too.
