this version of X2 is heavily edited...its almost hard to watch...it must be leaving first time viewers clueless and not excited for x3 at all...when they show it on FX its way longer.

If people never saw the movie, then they will probably not be aware of the parts that were edited out. Some of them were not that huge, and in some parts I was glad to see little bits left out. But I would have liked to seen it in its entirety, but that is what the dvd is for. I do not think that tonights showing will make a difference either way.

I don't think the movie suffered that much considering all the cuts. And X2 has a much more complex plot than X3. I'm not that worried about X3 now.

I just hope 2 things:

1. Dialogue isn't campy/cheesy
2. Scott survives at the end

Just goes to show all the extra things that don't serve the plot (Nsync song, too much of Xavier's...

Damn they just trimmed Scott's fight with Jean. That's just WRONG!

Love that part where Jean and Scott say they love each other. Awww...

I have the newest version of quicktime ( normally don't have a problem with any vids)but when i play the clips they stutter and the audio is ...scrambled. Is this because of the x vid codec? what is it and where is it? what do i need to download can anyone help me with some advice. I don't treally know anything about you tube and the clips on youtube look low quality...

Yes, they are highly misinformed. I always find it interesting that people bash the notion of Stryker, etc., assuming that Singer simply made him up, and that it has nothing to do with the X-Men at all, when in actuality it is based off of an X-Men graphic novel God Loves Man Kills written by Chris Claremont (you don't get any more X-Men than that).

Or when people say, at least the animated series got it right, when in actuality the animated series takes just as many liberties in reinterpreting the comics as the movies do . . .

. . . or that they expect the characters to simply appear on screen rattling of their 40+ year history within the confines of a two hour movie just to ensure the comic book readers know things they've already read in the comics.

Did Ian call Angel a killing machine, a bird of prey? He barely fights in the movie and is described as angelic!

Damn, I love that Colossus spot. I can totally forgive the Leno clip now. Where do you guys think he was jumping from at the beginning of the clip? It may be reaching a bit, but wouldn't it be something if he had just saved Kitty and Leech from Juggs? Or maybe that's when the X-Men first arrive, and he can't wait to get down there?

Oh yeah. The Beast clip rocked, too. There was a brief shot where it was clear there was wirework involved, but other than that it was totally boss.

im pretty sure last night's version was one that i saw during a flight (continental i believe). it was totally edited. all the curses were taken out for the little kids on the plane. and god those 2 guys in the food court, they edited "d**k" so horribly. it was like "why r u being such a di-ork??" lol
