Hmmn. So according to that they may not even be on the DVD as deleted scenes and there wont be a 'directors cut' either, since Singer is stating the version we saw is his cut.

well,this is the full cut of the movie in terms of that.in my words there is never a directors cut or a full cut.There is an aspect of the movie;there is a section that i completed,which i don't think it will be on the dvdnecessarily,but in the future i'm going to roll out at some point.But at the time,in the context of the movie at this stage didn't ultimatly work,and it takes some bravery to actually say "you know what, i got to take it out".
So maybe that will have a life somewhere else.
Yeah,there'll be some deleted scenes and things like that.But no,there is a sequence,a very elaborate one,which hopefully will find another life somewhere else.
So,i was actually able to complete it.But i felt ultimatly in the scope of this movie,it wasn't right.

I get most of that but in response to "in my words there is never a directors cut or a full cut" I'm not sure what Singer is on about there ; by definition I'd have thought a 'full cut' would be everything that was shot and a 'directors cut' would be everything that he, the director, wanted the audience to see (and arranged exactly as he would want it too).

Whatever his meaning, the bottom line is that he does say it was indeed his choice (thus ruling out a 'directors cut' or whatever he wishes to call it) and if he does want to use the sequence in the sequel (which is certainly possible given the granduer of the scene) then it will be saved until then and not squandered in any prior DVD. Not such a bad thing if that is the case, a scene like that would be best served up on the big-screen.
