think about it what if say x-men 4 was radically different to the x-men, we change the tone...

here is my idea for

X-Men: Legacy Of The X-Men

The world is in a state of civil war. Spies for the mutant rebellion have stolen plans to the sentinal mastermold a giant artifical intelligence computer capable of locating and finding mutants providing potential targets for the sentinals. mutant rebellion leader "Rogue" now in her mid 30's is in possession of the plans, but she is trapped by sentinal forces under the command of Nimrod. Before she is captured, Rogue manages to give the plans to an unregistered morlock mutant Caliban with orders to find one of her former colleagues, The mutant escapes to genosha one of the last safe havens for mutants around the world. Caliban is quickly captured by Bishop a mutant trader who hunts down potentially dangerous mutants for his own immunity, However Bishop is stopped by a couple of mutant activests who believes Bishop to be a traitor to his own cause, the two mutants are an elderly woman by the name of askani and a teenage Christopher Summers. While Christopher - known as cable saves Calibain, we learn of his message to find one of the original members of the x-men, Cable believes he knows of a former x-men in hiding Bobby Drake who has been in hiding in Alaska running a mutant safe haven there.

Cable, with Calibain head to alaska to find Bobby Drake, upon there they are chased by sentinals of which Bobby Drake helps them and takes them back to the shelter. He tells Cable of his days as an x-man and explains to Cable about a mysterious energy field called the Phoenix. He also tells Cable about his association with Cable's father, also an X-Man, whom he claims to have been betrayed and murdered by the phoenix, Bobby Drake's former teacher and Cable's mother who used her powers for evil. Bobby then is then told of Rogue's message with the plans to Mastermold, in which she requests that he takes this information to the mutant rebellion station known as Avalon... which is currently stationed at the north pole, where forge will be able to retrieve and analyze them. Bobby asks Cable to accompany him to Avalon and to learn the legacy left by the x-men After initially refusing, Cable discovers that his home has been destroyed and his parentle gaurdian has been killed by sentinals in search of the Calibian, Cable agrees to go with Bobby Drake to Avalon, and the two hire smuggler Gambit and his crew the theives guid to transport them safely to Avalon station.
Meanwhile, Rogue has been imprisoned at the sentinal processing station and has resisted giving the location of the secret mutant rebellion base. Bastion, the sentinal's commanding officer and Nimrods superior, tries to coax information out of her by threatening to destroy Genosha and proceeds to do so even after she appears to cooperate as a means of demonstrating the power of the sentinals new weapon. When the theieves guild arrives at Avalons coordinates, they find themselves in a field of rubble. They follow a damaged sentinal towards the sential base and are captured by the station's sentinal gaurds and brought into its hangar bay. The group takes refuge in a command room on the station while Bobby Drake goes off by himself to disable the sentinal base security While they are waiting, they discover that Rogue is there being held captive and is scheduled to be executed.Cable and the thieves guild stage a rescue and free the Rogue. Making their way back to the thieves guild ship, their path is cleared by the spectacle of a ice and lazerbeam fight between Bobby Drake - "Iceman" and Nimrod's Lazerbeams. Iceman is blasted into a million peaces which allows the mutant to escape.
The thieves guild journeys to the mutant base known as asteriod M, where the mastermold plans are analyzed by Forge who managed to escape Avalon and a potential weakness is found. The weakness will require the use of an experimental phalanx technology to slip into the Mastermolds a.i. software and attack a vulnerable locator chip. Cable joins the assault team while Gambitleaves not wanting anything more to do with the rebellion, despite Cables request for him to stay. The attack proceeds when the Mastermold is activated and arrives at asteroid M, with Nimrod having being able to find the mutants via the new mastermold system. The mutant rebillion suffer heavy losses and, after several failed attack runs, Cable remains as one of the few surviving soliders. Nimrod appears with his own group of sentinals and begins attacking astoride M. Cable begins his attack run with Nimrod in pursuit as the Mastermold approaches astorid m. As Nimrod is about to shoot at Cable, thieves guild arrives in time and attacks Nimrod and his sentinals sending Nimrod crashing into the ocean. Cable then is able to inject the Phalanx virus into mastermold which destroys it. All sentinals are depowered and shut down... The mutants are freed. Cable is made a hero and the world goes about restoring its own humanitty.

X-Men: Revolations

Despite their victory over the sentinals with the destruction of the Mastermind, the Mutant Society was driven out of their base and forced to establish a new base on the remote redeveloped lands known as the savage lands. Nimrod, having become obsessed with finding Cable, now leader of the broken sentinal army, has multiple probe droids dispatched throughout earth, one of which finds the savage lands. While patrolling near the base, Cable is attacked and knocked unconscious by an indigenous predator, called Sauron. Back at the base, Gambit announces his intentions to leave the Rebellion to pay off a debt to Mojo "A obesse showman who Gambit owes a debt too" (much to Rogue's displeasure), but stalls to search for Cable when he doesn't return. Escaping from the Saurons lair, Cable nearly succumbs to Saurons energy draining and has a vision Professor Xavier, who instructs him to go to the former location of the x-men at graymalkin in westchester to train as an x-man.

Gambit finds Cable and provides shelter before they are rescued the following morning. Meanwhile, the sentinal probe locates the mutant base in savage lands, and Nimrod orders an attack while the mutants prepare to evacuate and disperse. The sentinal forces eventually overpower the mutants and capture the base. Gambit and Rogue escape with Caliban and the mutant Abyss, but are unable to escape the sentinal squad following them they manage to hid in the morlock sewer network, where Gambit and Rogue begin to grow closer to each other. Nimrod turns to several notorious bounty hunters, including the return of Bishop, to assist in locating the former x-men Gambit and Rogue. Meanwhile, Cable escapes from savage lands and crash lands at graymalkin, westchester, where he meets a frail blue furred beast, who reveals himself to be Dr.Henry McCoy. While undergoing intensive Psychic training, Cable has a premonition of Gambit and Rogue in danger and, against Beast's wishes, leaves to save his friends, promising to return to complete his training.

With Sentinal forces off their trail, Gambit's party set a course for Providence, a mutant made island in a mining colony in the middle of the atlantic ocean run by Gambit's old friend, Dr.Nathaniel Essex, unaware that they have been tracked by Bishop. Shortly after they arrive in Providence, Dr.Essex turns them over to Nimrod to be used as bait in a trap for Cable, insisting that he was forced to do so to prevent occupation of his city by the Sentinals. Nimrod intends to hold Cable by infecting him with the legacy virus, selecting Gambit as a test subject for the process. Before Gambit is injected with the virus, he and Rogue profess their love for each other. Gambits ill form is given to Bishop, who plans to present him to Mojo. Dr.Essex later repents and helps Rogue by boosting her mutant ability by giving her super strength and flight to help the others escape, insisting that there is still a chance to save Gambit. Unfortunately, Bishop makes off with his quarry before they get a chance to confront him, forcing them to make an escape using one of Dr.Essex's vehicles.

Meanwhile, Cable arrives in Providence and falls right into Nimrod's trap. He and Nimrod engage in a Fight within the facilities, eventually bringing them to Dr.Essex's lab. Gaining an advantage, Nimrod tries to inject Cable with the legacy virus but his mutant ability is fighting against it. With Cable cornered and defenseless, Nimrod goads Cable to rule earth with him, making the horrifying revelation that he is scott summers, Cable's father, Scott was transformed by the Phoenix with ultimate power that his body transformed into pure energy contained within the Nimrod suit. Unwilling to join Nimrod/Scott, Cable casts himself out and Dr.Essex rescues him, He makes a desperate call to Rogue, who senses Cables distress aboard the Dr.Essex's vehicle and manages to get him to safety. They head to Mojo's land to rescue Gambit.

X-Men: The Fall

Cable, having fashioned himself as an X-Man, initiates a plan to rescue the ill Gambit from the vile crime lord Mojo with the help of Rogue, Dr.Essex, Abyss, and Calbain. Rogue infiltrates Mojo palace on the far side of the savage lands disguised as a mutant hunter and releases Cures Gambit with Dr.Essex's cure. but is caught and forced to serve as Mojo. Cable arrives the next morning and allows himself to be captured. Mojo sentences Cable and Gambit to be fed to the monstrous Garrok, a mutant that seeks to obsorb other mutants. As he is about to be put to death, Cable breaks free and a large battle erupts; in the ensuing chaos, Rogue strangles Mojo to death, Gambit inadvertently knocks Bishop, the Mutant hunter who captured him, into the gaping maw of the Garrock, and Cable, escaping with his allies, destroys Mojo's entire building. As Gambit and Rogue rendezvous with the other mutant rebels, Cable returns to graymalkin where he finds that Beast is dying. With his last breaths, Beast confirms that the Nimrod is Former x-man Scott Summers aka Cyclops and that Cable must confront him again to become a true X-Men. He and the vision of professor xavier also reveal that Cable must save his father Cyclops from the phoenix force that is causing him to do this.

The mutant rebels learn that the sentinals has been constructing a new mastermold, larger and more powerful than the first. In a plan to destroy the new weapon, Gambit is elected to lead a strike team to destroy the mastrermold station's being build on the fallen lands of genosha, allowing a squadron of maurders to enter the incomplete infrastructure and destroy the mastermold from within. Returning from graymalkin, Cable joins the strike team along with Rogue and the others, but soon fears that, sensing Nimrod's presence, he may be endangering the mission. On Genosha, Cable and his companions encounter a resistance of mutants known as X-Force who were former members of the x-men before it was disbanded and form an alliance with them. Later, cable confesses to rogue everything he knows about his relationship to Nimrod, and that he is leaving to confront Nimrod one more time, believing that there is still good in him.

Cable and Nimrod at the sentinal base and meet the evil force behind it all, Apocalpyse, who reveals that Cable allies are walking into a trap. Back on Genosha, the mutant Rebels are captured by prime sentinals, but a surprise counterattack by the X-Force allows the mutant Rebels to fight back. During the strike team's assault, Dr,Essex leads the mutant Rebel fleet in the his own vehicle to the mastermold site, only to find the station is heavily gaurded. As a dogfight ensues, apocalpyse tempts Cable to give in to his anger and join his idealisim of survival of the fittest. a fight between Cable and Nimrod erupts, during which Nimrod searches Cables thoughts and learns that Cable is there to save him and his x-men friends, When Nimrod suggests he would target the x-men first, Cable cannot contain his anger and viciously attacks Nimrod, However, he comes to his senses and, despite Apocalpyses's goading, spares his father and declares himself an X-Man. Enraged, Apocalpyse begins to slowly kill Cable with his enhanced poweres. His son's agonized pleas for help causes Nimrod to repent, becoming Cyclops once more. He turns on Apocaylpse and uses the full force of the phoenix left by jean to kill Apocalpse, but is mortally wounded by Apocalpyses powersr. Nimrod finally transformes back to cyclops a dying man, Cable forgives him before cyclops dies.

Back on Genosha, the x-force finally destroys the gaurds, allowing the mutant rebels to launch a final assault on the mastermold . Dr.Essex leads the remaining groups deep into the station's core and fires at the main computer, causing it to ollapse. cable escapes with his father's body before the mastermold explodes, Rogue reveals to Gambit that she loves him and they share a kiss. That evening, Cable returns to Genosha and cremates his father's body on a funeral pyre. The entire world celebrates the fall of the sentinals. During the mutant rebellion' own celebration on Genosha, Cable catches sight of the spiritual figures of Professor X, Iceman, And his parents, who watch over them with pride.
