Apparently theres a rumor about doing a Spider-man revamp of the triolgy. With Joe Gordon Levitt ( Brick, 3rd Rock from the sun) as Spider-man/ Pete Parker sounds exciting but it seems too soon. Plus Tobey Maguire IS spider-man what yall think?

I highly doubt this will come to pass within the next 10 years. They JUST started doing Spider-Man movies and there's absolutely no reason to remake the movies. The only possible way I could see this being done is if they make cartoon movies of the series.

He said revamp... not reboot.... that means a new core cast.... a new director.... and a new direction

Whoops, misread that. But I think that the direction they're going in right now is looking pretty good. I didn't like the randomness in parts of 3, but I know that's more of an editting error.

Personally, I don't think I could see Levitt as Spider-Man/Peter Parker unless they were doing a cartoon. It's just a bit of a change going from Tobey to him in terms of looks. I know he could definitely act.

at this point...i'd love a revamp (not reboot). Tobey, Dunst, and Raimi all feel like they're getting tired of Spidey or at least too comfortable. it seemed like in part 3 they were going through the motions and Tobey Maguire even expressed that he felt like part 3 feels like closure.

i say let them move onto other film w/Raimi attached as producer. i don't want them to become like the cast from Harry Potter and be playing Spider-Man for 5/6 movies. i say get some fresh talent and get these characters even closer to their comic counter parts than they already are.

I wouldn't mind the cast coming back for 4-6... but I am realistic enough to know that won't happen.... the only way I would do it is to film 4-6 back to back to back but the budget would be in the billions...

I definitely think we're going to get a revamp. I doubt Toby, Kirsten, and Raimi will be around much longer.

"Revamp"

"Reboot"

"******ed"

...If they ever do a big change of a Spider-Man sequel, or if the re-vamp the movies, then I only hope and wish that the world ends the day after they decided to do so.

I think sony will do what the next Hulk movie be. Not a sequel but not an origin story just a story about the hulk with a new cast and crew

I only think revamps are good when the franchise's last few films really sucked (Casino Royale), or when the origin was never right (Batman Begins) Spider-Man is neither
