I never said Connors was family to Peter. I said he's a friend WITH a family. A father and husband. And he threatens that family and everyone he cares about when he becomes a villain.

Harry is Peter's BEST friend who is just after Peter for killing his father. Two completely different brands of villainy. Apples and oranges.



Connors is anything but a loser. He's made something of himself. He's a great and respected scientist. He's got friends, a family. He just made a mistake, and he didn't blame anyone else for it. He bounced back and continued to be a great scientist and family man after being the Lizard.

Brock is a useless photographer who has to fake his own photos and lie to try and make something of himself. He made his own screw ups. All his own fault. And he goes and blames everyone but himself. He is the essence of loserness.



We're not talking about drama. We're talking about complicated. Brock is not complicated. He's the classic loser who blames everyone else for his own short comings.

lizard's transformations have to send him deeper and deeper into desparation as his alter ego threatens to destroy his life.
would be great for peter to find out who he is early on but be faced with the tough choice of bringing him in especially if he has meet conners in his home enviroment.

the two sides of conners (lizard/family) needs to be explored to truly get
why peter can't just wade in and bring the lizard to justice and hopefully you will finally see pete use his scientific genius (something the movie has yet to explore) to cure conners and save his family and reputation.

Exactly! But since Sony is already talking to Koepp to write a draft for Spidey 4, wouldn't it be logical to assume that they will indeed be making a 4th?

i really do hope sam, and the rest of the cast and crew stay and i have a feeling they are. sam even said himself he is open to do more spidey films.

I don't know if Kraven would be in the next movie. They more than likely would either have 1 or 2 villians max in the next movie. Lizard would more than likely be the main bad guy because Connors is so close to Peter. You would then need a visiually amazing villian. A villian that can demand the screen alongside the Lizard. My guess would be Electro or Mysterio. They both would make a beautiful villian on screen IMO. I just don't think Kraven could be a major bad guy. Sure he could come in and try to destroy the Lizard and get in the way a couple of times but I don't think anything more than that. I would also like to see one or two scenes with a revamped Shocker. But my bet stays Lizard + Electro or Mysterio for SM4.

heres my list of villians. the lizard as main villian, scorpian as secondary villian and electro as third villian for sure. it would make for amazing visual effects along with great storyline.

I'm sure the 3 movie is going to be an action fest I'd perfer the 4 movie to be concentrate on one villian again like 1 and 2 so they can really give depth to the villian. lizard is the obvious choice as the world wide audiance is familiar with conners.

the fourth movie should be a personal battle between studant and teacher, finesse and brute force, logic and pure savagry, if there HAS to be a secondary villain I'd rather it were someone they develop for a 5th movie...

Of course Sam is going to be staying on for the 4th film!

He set up Connors in the 2nd film, will be using him further in the 3rd (with hints at his Lizard experiments), and is known to be very fond of classic villains.

Why wouldn't he return?


Now, the rest of the cast...that's up for debate. But I doubt Sam would pass up a SM4, featuring the Lizard.

If they make The Lizard move/attack like the Velociraptors from "Jurassic Park" than heck yeah it'd be scary and awesome. Dark that'd be a "no." Unless, Pete continues being emo.

Seeing the Lizard on screen, I'd probably wet my pants. Along with another villian like Electro!!! Everytime I say to myself Electro I think of the cartoon, that stuff was funny as hell. I am Electro!! But I don't know, Electro's classic comic suit is kinda goofy looking. That would probably be changed.

How would you guys want Electro to look on screen, I don't think they would go with the green/yellow costume with thunderbolts on his face. hahaha Speaking of that sometimes I wonder what people thought was cool and legend back in the day. I mean if I was in a bank and a guy dressed like that came in and said give me your money, I'd probably cry laughing.. well that if he didn't have a gun. The End. Cheers!!

Finally, a Lizard-related piece of news after about - what? - two years?

As much as I'd love to jump on Dylan Baker's comments as a big hint that Lizard would be in Spider-Man 4, I've been burned twice already after getting my hopes up over early quotes about SM2 and SM3 that ended in disappointment.

Seeing that we don't even know if Sam, Tobey and Kirsten will return for SM4, I'm sure not going to assume that the Lizard is really part of any real plans at this point.

im am excited about this news, the lizard was inevitable because of conners setup (which is executed very well, it will be great watching all 4 one day and seeing the lizard there the whole time), i hope everyone is onboard too, i really hate actor changes, even in minor roles, it just ruins the illusion for me. i am nervous about any other characters than lizard though...

Lizard is really the first villain I would want and expect to see a dramatically different look from comics to film. Something much more grotesque would make much more sense, imo, than a lizard that walks on two legs. Show how the genetic mixture is really f'ed up.
