I think it's probably left vague enough, incase Twohy has more than one idea.
Maybe, I just think its a bit silly to change it now when its been established for a few movies already.
If that is true that his eyes are natural, it might imply Riddick's family is somehow special or unique even among Furyians. Royalty maybe or some kind of family of assassins.
Possibly, but again why would Riddick make up the surgical shine job story at all if he had those eyes for his whole life?
So I caught the Director's cut last night, while I much preferred the DC opening, I can't say I'm a fan of the ending. The film went to lengths to distance itself from the fantasy aspect of CoR and return to the real, hard sci-fi world of Pitch Black only to tease a return to the hocus pocus stuff again? I'm much more interested in him trying to find Furya.
You think Riddick would let the Necro's get away with their betrayal of him though? The original plan was to explore the Necro's and the Underverse before COR flopped.
