I really do not want to see the Community forum or any other forum littered with video game threads when there can simply be one for all gaming topics.

The people who open them up will have their thread making abilities disabled. I'm guessing if people continue to do it, they get banned. Sadly, this is what it has come to because of a few people.

It has nothing to do with the moderators. I could not be more hands off in regards to this forum, however the second Freeman stepped over the line and I told him to quit I was met with disrespect and a "you can't touch us" attitude.

It really doesn't matter because it's already too late, but that wouldn't work either because they would continue to act the way they always do and whatever new mod they get in here that starts to then come down on them about it like Matt has will lose their "respect" and then so goes the circle of bull**** again with the "mods against us" crap. They have ruined it for everyone else here.

They have been given numerous chances. They just got a warning, a final one, just yesterday, and within hours of it WHF and Company did their usual bull****. The problem is they cannot be banned. This is essentially the only way to stop it.

Oh come on! That warning was not a good idea to begin with. They should have known that such a thing was going to be tested right from the get-go.

Is the GR innocent? Absolutely not. Matt never lost respect because it wasn't given to him in the first place. That was wrong.

But closing the entire forum, because of misunderstandings by both sides, which many of us have grown very attached to is also wrong in my eyes.

I am positive that if they were able to get banned, almost all the problems would be gone. But that can't happen and that is when the options get limited. If they cut it down to just one big forum for the games, all it does is become one big cluster **** with the same problems because they can't get rid of them.

Fact is, we were following the rules. One poster makes a joke to a mod, and suddenly we're being micro-managed. It kind of makes the other posters wonder why they bother following the rules in the first place if it has no connection to how strictly they're moderated.

And I am positive that if the mods took more time to understand the gaming forums instead of going to war with the GR most of the problems wouldn't exist today.

It's not just that. It's the numerous bull**** threads you guys post. It's the constant going off topic spamming up every other thread. It's stupid stuff like posting a backwards version of a previously closed thread (which was closed rightfully so because, again, it was just spam and nothing else) and then *****ing and whining about why mods are closing all your threads and disabling thread making abilities. Don't act dumb.

And do you really think that once the Games forum is closed that they are just suddenly going to stop. They'll most likely spread it into other forums to purposely antagonize the mods. That is not good for the Hype.

I don't think it's the best move either, but it'll depend on how seriously they take their own advice to the mods of "relax it's just a message board". We are going to see if it really just is a message board to them or not, or will they complain about it or spread it to other forums as you said. All they have to do it close the threads and disable thread making abilities. It takes more time to make a new account than to do what the mods do to disable it. So it's going to be interesting to see.

Like I said, it's going to depend on how long they want to play that game. If it really is just a message board to them and nothing else then there won't be any problems in any other forums after all this. Or that could just be bull**** and they will do what you say. We just gotta wait and see.
