this is what real moderators do Matt: They actually participate in the community, and if there's a small flame up they deal with that as those people are held accountable, they don't just sit there as a police station and say something stupid like 3 strikes and the whole forum is out! Jebus.
If you adopted such a stupid policy everywhere on the hype we wouldn't have any sections left.

Let's talk about that respect you were never given, it might have had something to do with you threatening to ban someone for no reason, and then playing all hard ass in the thread and threatening to ban anyone who crossed you. Yeah, really good way to promote mutual co-operation there... and what happened?
Another mod had to come in to cover for you being incompetent. Y'know the one people like because he's actually friendly and good at his job, we'd like that guy.
If you guys showed an ounce of being reasonable, or any transparency (everyone knows the moderators total lack of Transparency and refusal to admit mistakes is why Morg is still a mod to this day) people would be much more willing to play ball with you, but you being totally counter to that yields expected results.
But the funny part is that in terms of you inching ever closer to your final solution, the actual trespasses committed and the response you have never have matched up. Like so what you pro banned 3 of us but then let us back early for good behavior. So what. Because you used that situation to outright say "Next time I'm coming down hard, no one will be safe!" and this is what you meant by it right, a single infraction by a single user means everyone suffers. Gotta love your logic.
You can't tar and feather the entire forum for the actions of a few individuals who should be held accountable on and individual basis and in a
reasonable manner. Sorry, but Gfreeman isn't soem mafia leader telling these people what to do, but you have to threaten him and WHF and every other prominent member, because, well, you don't like them very much, and that's not moderating right, not all all. History or no history you do not going in trying to start a new page (as you put it) and hold people so absurdly accountable that you outright tell them you're going to find any excuse you can to ban them.
