I think that there should be a separate Robin movie, but have Dick Grayson in the 3rd Batman movie and end it with him taking the "Oath" by candlelight and the 4th movie should have him alittle older and better trained fighting side-by-side with Bats. He should be 13-14 in the 3rd movie and 16-17 in the 4th movie.

If they ever decide to this, they'll have to do it in a different continuity as Begins. This is the way I would kick it off.

Batman is already an established character.
The Haley circus is in town, Boss Zucco is extorting them and Bruce is investigating a lead. While lurking in the shadows around the circus Bruce sees the Flying Graysons train on the ropes (we see Dick's famous move), he's impressed. He decides to watch the next show.

We'll we all know what happens during that show, but Bruce is feeling guilty and takes Dick home. A friendship starts to evolve, Bruce doesn't mention he's Batman but they do train together Dick thinks nothing of it. Both planning how to take Boss Zucco out. Bruce wants justice, Dick wants revenge. While still not reaveling his secret identity Bruce trains the kid to become his "side-kick", learning a few tricks on the side.
In the last act we see Dick figuring out that Bruce is Batman, they bring Zucco to justice and he decides to follow in his footsteps. In the last shot of the movie we see Robin in his full costume, a new movie franchise is born.

Because Nightwing isn't a sidekick. It was never Batman and Nightwing, always Batman and Robin. that's the classic team that's lasted decades.

Way I see it, if they want to make Bruce look as un-asshat like as possible, have Dick be a teenager, around 16 or 17, who becomes a vigilante on hiw own, completely independant of Bruce, to get revenge, and Bruce reluctantly trains him and equipts whim to make sure he doesn't get killed, since Bruce can't convince him to stop.

But doesn't that sound too much like Batman Forever?

well hehehe i thought about this one already, dick's parents die and ironically he starts looking to the batman as a source of inspiration and kinda becomes a cool wannabe batman, when bats figures this out he has simpathy realizes the similiarity between them he takes him in and hones his skills as a trainee in the war on crime.

Portraying Dick as a wannabe Batman probably isn't a good idea considering there's already gonna be a wannabe Batman in The Dark Knight.

I think it was said the other day that the Teen Titans movie won't be in the continuity of Superman Returns or Batman Begins.

Thus, your argument is a tad void on account of continuity.

There was a time continuity meant nothing in comics, but you put up with it, and that time is now coming back with a vengeance. But continuity is also rapidly losing its meaning in Hollywood, and that's worrying.

1. You can use the Dick Grayson name if you want, and you can even use to the dead circus parents part, but you need to combine it with Tim Drake. Say his parents were killed when he was around the same age as Bruce was when his did, and he was shipped off to foster homes. He hears about the Batman, and starts to develop detective skills as time goes by. When he gets to be 16/17 he finally realizes who Batman really is, and seeks him out. There you go for the origin. That also fixes his age problem. And because he was a circuis performer, he was already in good shape, and because he's been obbsessed with finding and joining Batman since he was 12, he's probably trained himself how to fight and survive quite a bit.

I don't think it's a good idea to substitute Tim Drake for Dick Grayson. If they're gonna use Dick's name, they should just use Dick. Otherwise they could just use Tim, and I don't think that would be a good idea either. I think Batman's first, and possibly his only, Robin in this franchise should be his first Robin, Dick Grayson.

One thing I haven’t really decided on is if Bruce should reveal his identity to Dick or if Dick should find out on his own without Bruce knowing. After Bruce finds out what Dick’s been up to, he drags him back to the manor and they would have a big showdown in the Batcave. This would be a dramatic high point, where Bruce would totally stonewall Dick, and Dick actually must convince Bruce to train him and let him become his protégé.

This all sounds a lot like Batman Forever to me.

After a few years, not before Dick is about 16 or 17, Dick follows Bruce out unbeknownst to Bruce and proves himself to be effective. Maybe he even saves Bruce's life somehow.

In Batman Forever, Dick follows Batman out wearing his circus outfit and a black domino mask and pulls him out of some ... stuff ... after Two-Face tries to kill him.

I don't think you can have him as Nightwing without having first had him as Robin.
