If they ever decide to this, they'll have to do it in a different continuity as Begins.
Why?

Here's how you do Robin in a movie...
1. You can use the Dick Grayson name if you want, and you can even use to the dead circus parents part, but you need to combine it with Tim Drake. Say his parents were killed when he was around the same age as Bruce was when his did, and he was shipped off to foster homes. He hears about the Batman, and starts to develop detective skills as time goes by. When he gets to be 16/17 he finally realizes who Batman really is, and seeks him out. There you go for the origin. That also fixes his age problem. And because he was a circuis performer, he was already in good shape, and because he's been obbsessed with finding and joining Batman since he was 12, he's probably trained himself how to fight and survive quite a bit.
2. Use the Red Robin costume from Kingdom Come, with darker tones and no yellow. That solves your costume issue, and would disguise his age to criminals.
Yeah, and then Batman can come and rescue him from the dirty cops and mow down all the cop cars with the Batmobile, laughing maniacally as the patrols erupt in flames and screaming I'M THE GODDAMN BATMAN!! OMG...maybe throw in a cool escape sequence from the foster home and him be brought back by the cops.
that is kinda a good ideaOr better yet just call him KNIGHTWING.
I just like the idea of him and Batman being The Dark Knight and his sidekick Named Knightwing.
Thats a pretty good idea, actually.Or better yet just call him KNIGHTWING.

Yeah, but in my version, the stuff they're arguing about actually makes sense. This all sounds a lot like Batman Forever to me.
That's not exactly true. All Nolan said was that Robin shouldn't be introduced for a couple films, and that he doens't think he'll be making Batman movies long enough for that to happen. In other words, he only wants to make a few, and that's not enough time to bring Robin in.
The Mask: (Subcategory of costume.) Sure, Clark Kent gets by with a pair of glasses, but bullets bounce off his head, too. And when youre jumping across rooftops and going up against bad guys armed with everything from baseball bats to anti-tank guns, one would think that Bruce would insist that his young sidekick wear something to better protect his skull than that little Zorro-band.
Remedy: Maybe Dick gets a cowl that covers his head. Maybe wearing a cowl throws off his balance as an acrobat. Maybe his cape comes with a hood. Stranger things were explained away in Batman Begins (memory cloth anyone?).
If you go with the cowl, you have Red Robin (an adult Dick Grayson) from Kingdom Come:

I'm all for Robin appearing in the Nolan universe as long as he doesn't say tripe like "Holy Rusted Metal, Batman" etc. Nolan would never allow it anyway so yes that is a good thing. Having a Batfilm devoted to Robin's upbringing would be a good premise as long as Tony Zucco is included. Don't know which villains would be in the same movie though. Can't see Zucco as the main villain in that one film. I suppose if it were a third film we'd be seeing Twoface anyway.
And like The Dark Knight may we can actually have a movie called Robin Begins. Then again with Twoface in that same movie that may be pointless.
