I do too, but the GA probably won't get it. I would like to read the original script.
Btw, do you think a medieval action is interesting for the GA?
As far as capturing some of that Errol Flynn era stuff, the Costner one does somewhat capture it. This one you don't know it's Robin Hood till the title actually says Robin Hood.

Although Costner sucked it up for the most part, you can't deny that Rickman owned that movie.
I don't know. How many teens are familiar with the characters? Only those who watch the TV series probably.
Rickman was the main redeeming factor in that whole movie, he is the whole reason for replay value.
I honestly don't know that much about Robin Hood. I doubt people my age do as well.
The disney classic is still owned by most parents today, so most kids still know who Robin Hood, the Sheriff of Nottingham, and Maid Marian are, simply because they grew up watching the cartoon.

The costner movie had an amazing score with other than Costner himself, a great cast. Rickman, Morgan Freeman, the guy who played Little John was great, the woman (her name escapes me) who played Marian, Tuck and Brian Blessed as his father...it just had a sense of fun and grittiness to it.
This new one looks like a lot of gritiness. It may turn some off, but people love the new gritty Bond and the new gritty Batman, so it makes sense. But as it is Scott and Crowe I would love to see it. However, they turned it into a traditional Robin Hood story, so changing the name to makes sense. The only way for Nottingham to have worked is if it had a guy like Nottingham as the main character as seen in the original script and sold it from that angle. That would be worth a read, really.
Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, who was also in James Cameron's The Abyss.
Yeah, she was in The Abyss (and had a topless scene to boot). I wonder if she has retired.
