The Dark Knight Robin Threads Merged (Do NOT Make Anymore)

When Robin?

  • Remake BB and put Robin in!

  • Now! BB2!

  • BB3

  • The very end of BB3

  • BB4 or later

  • I only want 3 movies

  • No Robin EVER!!!! You hear me? NO ROBIN EVER!!

  • Huh? Robin was in Batman Forever! Stick with the continuity!

I dare you to say the plot of RotJ was straightforward and simple again.
it was straight forward and simple. joker puts his genius to work to return again n the future. the non-sequiter of the grown up robin comes out of left-field.

Darwin, do you realize your argument is completely empty?

Everyone keeps presenting things to prove Robin can work if done right, but you keep saying it doesn't matter, because Robin can't work in a film.

Oxymoron anyone?
robin works in campy batman universe where there's a giant penny in batman's den. i won't mind robin in that movie world but in the current batman film world, he would drag it down.

Thanks for proving my point there, Darwin.

And Ronny, I just have a low post count because I stopped posting after BB came out, and then I decided to come back to the BB2 forum because I liked it so much.

I forgot to thank Face for the beer.

Thanks, Face.

I care less if Robin is in or not but I don't want him in BB2 or BB3 till 4th.

I think Robin should probably eventually be portrayed, but not in the second movie, maybe the third though.

The reason I'd want to keep him out of the third is so that there's a clear...starting point for him. You'll have a trilogy with Batman, tie up all the plotlines started in BB and BB2, then have everyone else start coming in later. That way, I think, the people who don't like Robin, can have their trilogy of Batman films, and the people who do, will have 4, 5, etc.

Should we ever be in company within the states I'll buy you one if you want one.

Yeah, Nolan doesn´t want to use Robin, and that´s fine, it´s is call.
But what bugs me is Bale´squote:

"'Thank God, there was no Robin,' Bale says. 'You really don't need him because Robin makes it campy and not dark.' Batman is just a man with his Batmobile."
That´s just ridiculous

But one thing i can say, for either Nolan and any fan that say NO to Robin without even thinking twice.
You clearly don´t understand the richness that Robin would bring, but i do agree that you should keep him out until the 4th.
More even, if Nolan understood Robin, he would be the first to want to use him.

someone who reallllllly dislikes the idea of robin in a batman movie.

also, isn't this thread out of place since we know that he won't be in the 2nd film?

So, why quote me?
I was saying the right opposite, that Robin would work extremely well...just not before the 4th movie.

Don´t know, don´t care, i didn´t made the thread ;)

the robin lovers should be happy the get the teen titans. the batman lovers get ... the batman.

grumble grumble ...

maybe if The Batman hired the writers of Venture Brothers ... i would then watch it religiously.

Henchman 1: Here is where you are wrong, my friend. This woman has killed before.
Henchman 2: Allegedly.
Henchman 1: Okay, whatever. But she was a big girl. We are talking about a large, healthy woman of questionable stability.
Henchman 2: Oh, you are totally underestimating the never-say-die scrappiness of a survivor.
The Monarch: Hey, guess what? Nobody cares who would win in a crazy fantasy fist-fight between Anne Frank and Lizzie Borden. We never should have brought the henchmen. We're going to be the only ones there with henchmen!

damn it!!!!!!!!! nolan has already stated that he's portraying batman in his early twenties batboy is a baby at this point and second its a dark film not holy hoaxes batman!!! we dont want a little bright sunshine and daisies kid screwin up our REAL BATMAN film. so no robin screwin up this film!!

whew well now that i got that off my chest. getting all that pent up rage at these losers wanting to ruin our joy that there is now a film portraying batman the way he's supposed to be. now....let us pray that nolan will never leave the GOOD batman films. and never leave us with someone that will force us to suffer Batman Forever and Batman And Robin all over again!!

Majik1387 said:
Have to say this and you're gonna hate it. There can be GOOD Batman movie WITH Robin.

never going to happen till you find a director who likes robin and you don't want a different director right now, right?

Majik1387 said:
I liked Batman Begins but I don't want the Bat-world turning into serious world where there can be no fun. I disagree with Nolan about the character Robin and making the Bat-world too serious. I don't want a different director for the sequels, but I don't want a close-minded director who refuses to use characters fans love because he doesn't like the character.

so you do want a different director.

Okay gangstaman, Nolan said himself that at some point he might bring Robin in, just not yet. Get your facts straight, buddy.
