Do we even know who's writing this before we condemn them to the lowest parts of hell?because remakes are the spawn of satan. he ****s them out of his gigantic ******* shaped like hollywood.I don't see what's wrong with a remake. If you don't like it then the old one still exists. It's just taking a chance to make it better with today's technology. Like King Kong, The Thing or The Fly. Sometimes they come out good, sometimes they suck. I'm hoping this one doesn't suck but as of now we have nothing to go by but a floating head.Do we even know who's writing this before we condemn them to the lowest parts of hell?

thats the present dude. welcome to cinema's atrophy of the imaginationCertain remakes are cool - the problem arises when a given studio decides to concentrate on remaking films more than financing original ones.
I have a nighmarish vison of the future of movies where original ideas for movies are stifled in favour of recylcling old ones.
Just heard the news.
Robo reboot?
BARF! NO THANX!
If Rocky/Rambo/Indy can get legit sequels why not Robo?
It could be awesome.
Set it in Delta city, Robo comes outta storage or is about to be taken offline.
This is more of a blessing in disguise... All 3 of the movies you mentioned while entertaining pale terribly in comparison to the original, hell its as if the film-makers acknowledge that, took out the checklist that the fans wanted and went on their way, the only one that even manage to do something different was Rambo.
Next a direct remake of Robocop would suck, this is true. Robocop is a product of its generation, etc. However, taking the original design of the suit and going in a new direction could be cool and different (and it could also suck).
Thirdly, the main character is a man in a suit and while many attest to Peter Weller being Robocop, it the same argument that F13 fans made prior to Freddy Vs. Jason that Kane Hodder was Jason, and look how that turned out, out of all the complaints I didn't hear anyone say, "z0mg the man in the suit is wrong".
Lastly quite a few of the actors from the original robocop are either dead or just too damn old... So what do you people want Robocop: The Geriatric Years or Robocop: The Sequal with a whole bunch of new actors... No No No a remake is the only way to go.
Also Robocop 3 and the various crappy TV **** has kind of ruined any possibility of a good sequel happening.
Robocop was perfect? So it's the best movie of all time? You can find absolutely nothing wrong with it?
The first movie was so dated. I'm glad they are finally bringing it back.
I hope it flops just to show them how badly they're scraping the bottom of the barrell for ideas.
"Oh, man, how outdatted is that Rosebud movie? People are still using typewriters and stuff!""Let's remake 90s movies"
"Yeah, how about The Sandlot. that one is outdated and kids can't relate to it.
haha

Many people fail to see the genius of RoboCop. They polarise it as cheese with 2-Dimensional characters and a laughable script. What Verhoven crafted out of seemingly ham is a banquet. I shudder to think if Joel Schuaemacher or Michael Bay would have done. This may sound crazy but I place RoboCop above Star Wasr and Lord of the Rings for having the balls to make such a thoughtfull ultravoilent flick that gives two fingers to critics and pollitical correctness.Negating any minor sfx issues, yep perfect.
Best film ever, yeah I'll go with that too.
It's my third fav.
No but no one is asking for it to be remade and likely made PG-13.
It seems nothing is sacred anymore in Hollywood. My Fair Lady is been remade, Hitchcock's Birds and now this.
I didn't hear about this yet.
Hell no.You don't remember the 14 Academy Awards it won 20 years ago?
Frank Miller should write/direct, should be rated R, and a total reboot. The themes from the first film can still be used today.

Hey, at least they had the dignity to release it on Blu-Ray...Sad but true.![]()
