Well like others have said we have no word yet for rating or anything on the film beside its in the works. So lets hope the studio is confindent that a good story and staying R rating can get the butts to the seats to see it.

Well as others have said it still way to early on this films pre production/production and we dont know anything official about the film besides its happening and they are hoping for 2010 release.

Fans would feel a bit better about the director of this reboot. but since the poster is just a teaser and nothing is known about the film besides as i said a few times its in the works it could go either way being crap or good.

Well considering it's just a floating head I can't really say anything yet so I'll just wait and see. I am excited about the idea of a new Robocop film with today's technology though. Oughta make for some great stuff and even cooler things for his robot body to do.

Besides if the movie sucks I'll just forget about it and pop in the old DVD.

I can't understand this culture of remaking films that got it right from the off. How can you improve on perfection?

Let's remake films that should have been good the 1st time around but weren't (Judge Dredd - I'm looking at you); correcting the mistakes and producing something worth watching.

A Robocop remake. What's next? Predator? Terminator? The Original Star Wars trilogy? 2001?

Where does it stop?

So I just rewatched the movie for the first time in a good many years and all I gotta say is wow...I can't believe they're remaking this movie. I'm not gonna be a negative nellie, but I don't see the use for a remake. Maybe a sequel ala Die Hard4, Indy 4, etc

Eh...I'm actually kinda on the fence with this one. I love the original movie, but I also admit the follow-ups were crap, and as such I doubt the GP would consider the movie as classic as sci-fi fans would.

Personally, though, and at the risk of further blasphemy...I wouldn't mind seeing a more retro-'30s film-noirish version of Robocop myself...mostly 'cuz you can't really update or "futurize" the story more than it already is, and treating it as a noir-type crime drama with shades of "Frankenstein" both in narrative and style, would seem to be a rather fitting approach, IMO.

In my book a remake its the same story line but with new effect or add-on. A reboot it s more like starting from scratch like batman begins or incredible Hulk.

A cliche Cop movie, but with Robocop, that sounds amazing. I'm not lying, i would watch that.
