Funny, Requiem for a Dream jumps out to me every time.
So is this one of those 'sequels without a sequel-ish title' ala Rocky Balboa or Rambo? Or a Remake, or a reboot, or what?
I like that idea of a new robocop and not that same slow walking robot we got from the 90's. It was cool than but it make no sense to have a robot that slow. They probably gonna take Iron man as reference(yeah I know its not a robot) to make robocop. For sure a cameo of the old robot is a most.
Well if its a sequel and actually murphy's robocop returning i doubt we will see a new robocop. Just the old one probably getting modified with new tech. But since there is very little known and technically havent gotten a official answer on sequel/remake status we have to wait and see how things turn out.
That would make sense considering Ironman was the inspiration behind Robocops look back in '87
I always thought that Robo's look was inpsired by the female robot in Metropolis?
He is.
As well as Judge Dredd, Iron Man, ROM Spaceknight, some Japanese show I forget the name of....

Why would Murphy return? he didn't since the 2nd movie. Murphy was great but it's not like he is not replaceable? + the guy is old now. There is so many that can do this stuck-up role anyways.
Ah...........ROM.
If ever there was a perfect character for Rob Liefield to draw -he's it.
No hands or feet.
The most important thing is that Murphy's personality is re-established. At the end of the original 1987 movie, Murphy was essentially re-awakened, and triumphed over the machine.
("Nice shooting, son, what's your name?" "Murphy.") In the sequels, this is ignored and he's just an emotionless cyborg again.
