Nah. Cheesy. The whole point of the movie was Rocky coming to terms with everything he's been through. Killing him off would have been pointless and cheap.

Warhammer said:^I agree.
Because of Rocky Balboa, I can now buy the whole series.
If Rocky Balboa was a masterpiece with doubts before it came out, then Rambo may have it very well.
Lightning may strike twice here.
raybia said:Thats great. MGM/SONY made a good decision greenlighting this movie.
Before Sony purchased MGM, MGM said no to Stallone.
Stupid suits.
Milkman95 said:Exactly. $31m already on a budget of $24m. It's going to carry on because of good word of mouth, plus the DVD sales will be huge.
A nice profit will be made by MGM and Stallone. I'm sure Stallone took a back-end deal to get this film made, and it's going to pay off in a big way for him. Congrats again Sly........
raybia said:Its hard to believe that film only cost $24m. It looked great. I would have guess at least $75m if not more.

MGM will not only make money in theaters from its release of Rocky Balboa, the sixth Rocky film, but it also stands to make big bucks from the older Rocky movies, the London Financial Times observed today (Thursday). "We own the first five movies and have set DVD catalogue promotions around the world to coincide with the release of Rocky Balboa," Rick Sands, chief operating officer of MGM, told the FT. Sands said that a promotional Rocky DVD pack being offered by Wal-Mart is "selling very big numbers." Sands also observed that the studio has relicensed TV rights so that the older films can be rebroadcast around the time of the current movie release.
