Rod Woodson (NFL Network) said on NFL Total Access tonight that X-Men 3 was his favorite film of the year :)

Not that it counts for anything, since he's just a former football player, but considering that he's one of my favorite players of all time, it was cool to see him mention that :)

And I made a new thread for this because all the threads around here anymore are "POST HERE IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE MOVIE" or "For those who are disappointed with the movie", so I didn't want to offend anyone by posting a postive post in those threads............

And we kinda need a positive thread around here anyways.

While I disliked the film for a few different reasons, I'm really glad a lot of people were able to enjoy it. To each his own, I suppose.

Plenty of people (probably more than alot of the haters would like to think) enjoyed X3.

Yay for positive threads!! :woot:

Just to add to the well, it's counts to me raves...my brother-in-law thought it was (expletive) awesome, my friends at work loved it, and I watched the movie this weekend, and in spite of everything, I still think it's pretty darn cool.

I've never heard of Rod Woodson but good for him!

There were many things I'd have changed about X3 - it's far from perfect. But it's still enjoyable.

yay! he is a great guy...*cough doesn't know who he is*

He was an American football player from the late 1980's through I think about 2004 when he finally retired, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers ( :word: Yay!), Baltimore Ravens, and Oakland Raiders. He's definatley a player who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and now he does football analysis on NFL Network.

Since American football is an American only thing, and I know that you're from Europe, you probably wouldn't know who he is.

Again, I know that his opinion isn't some hugely credible thing, being a former football player and not some widely respected film critic, but since he was one of my favorite football players of all time, I thought it was pretty cool to hear him mention it as his favorite movie of 2006. :)

always look on the bright side

I'm not going to lie to you, what Ron Woodson says is of absolutely no interest to me.

Thats funny because last week I was watching my local Fox news channel and Steven Jackson (the running back for the St.Louis Rams) was being interviewed. The interviewer asked what his favorite film of all-time was and he said X-Men: The Last Stand....I coulded help but smile

I guess Steven must be a sci-fi fan since he claims to love this movie. I also, know Steve is black and I wonder if his opinion of X3 has anything to do with the fact that this is one of the view sci-fi movies I know of where a black woman(Halle Berry) has a prominent role. I have black relatives and friends whose opinions of all realms of entertainment(Sports, movies, tv shows) are sometimes based on the number of black people involved. Just in case you were all wondering I'm black.

Anyway, I usually mock the commentaries made by professional
athletes that pertain to topics unrelated to sports since they rarely say anything that is profound. I doubt that Steven would be able to give an object reason why he believes X3 is the greatest movie of all time.:whatever:
