I find it really weird when people post things and then don't go, "Oh, look that didn't work. I better use the edit button to fix that."

C'mon, Kahoot, he/she is new according to their post count. I'm sure they'll work it out.
Dr. Doom, Panthro & Cole, thank you for the comps and subscribing to my thread. Welcome to the site as well, really cool community here.
BTW, where've you been, Panthro?

Developed a little insomnia while trying to get a client's commission together and out so I doodled this sketch in brush, ink & a little marker until I got tired.
I like drawing Riddler at times just as long as I'm not asked to scribble him in those pathetic green leotards...

Much appreciated, Panthro.Classy. Very classy.

You probably don't remember....but the post you quoted and commented on here was a spambot...I just found it as I was doing a little bot-hunting.I find it really weird when people post things and then don't go, "Oh, look that didn't work. I better use the edit button to fix that."
Very nice....reminds me of Jim Aparo's work.Developed a little insomnia while trying to get a client's commission together and out so I doodled this sketch in brush, ink & a little marker until I got tired.

I do not remember but I stand by what I said. I have seen seasoned vets post links that don't work and then not go back to fix them. You probably don't remember....but the post you quoted and commented on here was a spambot...I just found it as I was doing a little bot-hunting.
I started reading comics in the 60's, so I saw a lot of the old artists....to me Aparo and Adams were two of the best, with Aparo being one of the most underrated and underappreciated artists. Your drawing there is on par with his work.LOL. Y'know, C. Lee, I was telling my son that very thing when I finished this. Of course he wasn't familiar with the artist until I showed him some of my old Brave & The Bold comics. Then he saw the comparison.
I think that most artist subliminally insert their influences through certain pieces and that's what I probably did here; it wasn't done on purpose I can tell you. Outside of Neal Adams, Jim Aparo was my second favorite Batman artist as a kid.
Thank you for the comp, man.
However, my son hates comic art of today. He follows old classic artists like Simonson & Kirby and tries to emulate their styles in one.

As long as your son is drawing anything, it's a good thing. My arthritis keeps me from drawing much anymore.

I'm flattered you would think it's on par with his. I hate I never got a chance to meet him seeing that he was such a major influence as to why I love this stuff so much. And you're right: Aparo is grossly overlooked for what he brought to the table. At least DC saw it fitting that he draw the infamous Bane back-breaking issue 20 years ago. You want to know another Batman artist that gets snubbed more times than not? Irv Novick.
I'm truly sorry for your suffering condition, C. I know it's a natural process but it does suck not being able to do what you love much less everday necessities. Hopefully you'll have a good spell of health and be posting something new real soon.
Here's a sketch I did the other night to get what was left out of some old Prismacolor markers I had before tossing them in the trash:

Panthro, Doom & Thwip, thank you so much for viewing to my works. I really appreciate it.Great! Makes me miss Norton in the avengers even more![]()

LOL. Maybe I will. I think that the suggestion was there with the Norton-looking guy to just make it a Hulk pic in the end.Damn, if that wasnt supposed to look like Norton then I'd love to see what an actual attempt at him would look like lol

DAMN! Good stuff.

AoC, I thank you. Don't be a stranger.
When I have time to work on my own books inbetween commissions and assignments, I manage to squeeze out a page every now and then...
This was done in pencils roughs, drawn with brush & ink with wash and touched up with markers here and there.
