exactly. it's just another gimmicky trend. it'll die out eventually, but it's going to get worse before it gets better. i pretty much don't read marvel anymore (except for a small sampling of titles) because they got too gimmicky, and dc's starting to get the same way. there's way too many tie-ins and universe-altering stories going on right now. just keep it simple and tell good stories and they'll sell plenty of comics. this will come back to bite them in the ass. didn't they learn anything from their past mistakes?
