Rumors/Spoilers *WARNING SOME SPOILERS ARE CONFIRMED*

:cmad::cmad::cmad: OHHHHHHhhhhhhhh for **** sakes Zod is taken prisoner!!! GRRR!!!

That is a major piss off for me, MAJOR!!!!!

I just hate it when the villain survies ...**** do I hate that! The villain should A-be one of the coolest characters in the film and B-have an equally cool send off...a proper send off ala bad guy in "True Lies". Anyone remember that death? Or Hans from Die Hard.

:whatever:

Are you really a Superman fan? You know he doesn't kill right? So it makes perfect sense for Zod to be imprisoned somewhere. Other possibilities: he dies by accident, killed by someone else or suicide.

Fine with and would prefer if Zod survives...goes to a Phantom Zone type place.

Nolan even let the Joker live in TDK...just sayin...:)

Fortress of Solitude is an ancient Kryptonian Pioneering ship that landed on Elsmere Island, Canada and has been there since. An ancestor of Kal-El was aboard and left a Kryptonian garment aboard.

Kal-El was born of natural conception, unaltered which is illegal on Krypton.

General Zod is the leader of all military on Krypton. After making a few bad decisions he finds himself at odds with Krypton's leaders.

Jor-El is summoned to Kandor in front of the Council of Five where he presents them with evidence that Krypton's core is unstable and they must find a habitable planet. They ignore his claims. Jor-El goes home and sends Kal-El off to Earth.

Black Zero is a prison ship that was taking Zod from Krypton to his permanent prison. He and his forces take the ship and retrofit it to their needs and head to Earth, which they consider a suitable planet.

Kal-El grows up Clark Kent and his super powers developing is a painful experience. When he screams he shatters glass, when his super hearing develops it is painful for his ears. His heat vision sets off on its own.

Growing up and doing as his parents ask and stay away from attention, Clark gains bullies in the form of Pete Ross.

at 13, Clark saves a school bus from drowning and is seen by a few students including Lana Lang. This is when Jonathan reveals his origins and ship and presents him with the command Key.

Clark travels around for a bit and gains a reputation as a mystery savior gaining the attention of Lois Lane. He ends up Cordova, Alaska where whilst out on his boat comes across an oil rig ablaze. Saving everybody onboard and with Lois Lane on his trail skips town north and finds the Fortress of Solitude where he finds his suit and a message from Jor-El before returning to Smallville.

There is a tornado and Jonathan Kent dies.

Zod and his forces arrive in Smallville. They go to the Kent Farm in search of Kal-El and threaten Martha Kent.

Smallville showdown Kal-El vs Zod, Faora, Nam-Ek, Tor-An with the Kryptonians fleeing after inexperience with their powers.

After this Superman goes to the army voluntarily. Lois Lane is here as well. One of Zod's ship arrives and requests the two. They go aboard and talk with Zod. The Black Zero lands above Metropolis. Superman escapes the ship and battles Zod and his forces in Metropolis as Black Zero gravity beam activates and destroys buildings including Daily Planet.

Superman saves Lois from Black Zero.

THAT IS ALL THAT IS CONFIRMED. ANYTHING ELSE IS PURE SPECULATION. ENJOY

Umm, Reel, not even all of that is confirmed. I'm pretty sure the part about the suit being left on board the pioneer ship by one of the El famil's ancestors was just speculation on my part and that of other posters. Some of the other stuff I believe is from the junior novel and the children's books and those do not always perfectly consistent with the plot of the film. (see the TDKR children's books) Finally, the order of your spoilers is not exactly correct. It is pretty clear based on Cavill's longer hair and college shirt during the tornade sequence that that part of the film is supposed to take place prior to Clark's travels around the world/self-imposed exile in Alaska.

The Fortress is in the "ARCTIC" as confirmed by Snyder himself, it being a pioneering ship is not confirmed but strongly hinted at. The reason most people believe that the Fortress is located on Elsmere Island is because thats where they shot some of the scenes for it (the one where Superman kneels down and then takes off) but in the movie itself, it will be "the Arctic".

Actually, I thought the Ellesmere Island thing was based off of the signal source of the first DSRW Project viral in December.

I don't recall it ever actually being confirmed they shot on Ellesmere Island. Frankly, that would make no sense given its remote location. Somewhere in Alaska or the Yukon would have made more sense practically and economically given that much of principle photography was based out of Vancouver.

I'll look for the interview and post it, only thing I cant remember was if it was during a video interview of just an article....whatever I'll find it :p

I didn't post the spoilers in order just that is the order they came out of my head as I thought. 90% of those TDKR junior novels were in allignment with the film. Yes the Fortress is a pioneering ship (aka Kryptonian astronauts) and this was confirmed by Snyder. Being on Ellsmere Island is me putting 2 and 2 together.

K so I went digging and found that that it was video interview by Snyder, but now the video has "this youtube account owner has been suspended" :S so now I have to keep digging more......yay...

yeah, I hate to see villains killed off, and especially so if the film does well, because they then create some lame azz way to bring them back in a sequel, ( or, my favorite, a Brother or friend seeks revenge against the hero in the sequel )

I have to think the tornado scene is much earlier. It's prolly the biggest reason for his trek to alaska.

LoL I swear to God I KNEW I'd get my beanbag busted about the entire "villain dying" at the end business & you know what? I don't care I STILL stand by want to see the main hero and villain clash, with the hero being victorious over said villain and destroying him...not slapping him on the wrist and reenacting Hercules dragging Dedalus up the mountain to jail..gimme a break! The when imprisoned bad guy is so lame to me.

And you know something else? I get that some heroes don't kill. Am I saying I want Superman to take the heads off people with his laser sight? No. What I'm saying is don't such a Boy Scout and that's it's not impossible to have a showdown between hero & villain and have the villain die off, out of necessity. Ala Joker in Tim Burton's Batman. That was a perfect example of it working. Granted that fall he took was kinda fast & looked kinda cheap..would've been cool if it somehow lasted a bit longer & you could see what was going on, but I digress.

These are movies. We are not only lucky if we get a damn sequel at all but lets also mention how long one has to wait. So what am I waiting for in that 3-4 yrs? Hmm? To see ZOD ...AGAIN? Come on and expand your damn horizons here folks. Umm lets see, Darkseid, Metallo, Brainiac, Parasite, Doomsday. No no you're all right, we need to see Zod and Lex Luthor again.

The villain having not only an onscreen death but a COOL one adds some closure and paves way for other villains that need their time to shine.

Doesn't mean I'm not a "Superman fan", that's the most ridiculous thing Ive ever read. Trust me? I like...nay LOVE him just fine :)

Awesome to know him being "thrown in jail" or some stupid "Phantom Zone" where he can "seriously think about what a poopy head he was" isn't confirmed. There's still hope for the death of Zod baby!!!

If Zod doesn't die, it doesn't mean they're going to use him again in the next one.
They'll use other villains like they usually do in most sequels.

....you didn't just Picard/Facepalm me..did you?:whatever:

Listen lol THAT'S what I am saying! If he goes to jail...and he isn't used in another movie? What's the damn point? Add some finality, some closure to that character. Kill his ass off with a wicked death you'd only SEE in a great comic end/story arc or just a cool death in general that makes you go "Whoa...that was badass!".

So he isn't killed, and gets the lamest send off known to man: going to jail...then what? "OHHH but then, then, they could use him in a FUTURE movie!!" *said in Professor Fink/Comic Book guy voice* ...listen I don't know about you but I could be ok with NOT waiting another like 10 yrs and another 3 Superman movies to see a villain I've already seen..you understand me now? It's pointless, not to mention the odds of Snyder doing Superman or the studios continuing on that long are pretty slim.

Anyways listen, I want Zod to die, some of you want him in jail or run away (groan) lets agree to disagree here folks.

Some of this is very accurate guys. I know no one will believe me but I have seen a cut of the movie and will tell you some things about it. I have this posted somewhere else today so I'm going to copy and paste here as well..

Okay once again I know no one is going to believe this thanks to all the idiots and trolls posting fake stuff, but I want to put this out there none the less. I was very torn on if I should say what I know or not and I thought to myself, you know what.. it's mostly already posted or we have heard about most of my spoilers already, so what the hell...

ONCE AGAIN.. HUGE SPOLIERS!! PLEASE DON'T BLAME ME FOR BEING SPOLIED!!

Okay first of all I will be back later today or tomorrow.. depending on my work schedule.. to post proof of all that I'm saying here for the doubters and none believers. If you are still with me here reading this I would like to say that this is an amazing movie! I don't think any of you can prepare yourselves for what you are going to experience June 14th guys! I have seen pretty much an entire cut of the movie in 2D and two separate scenes that were in 3D. I can't judge the 3D from what I've seen, but one of the scenes was pretty awesome so that is the one I will discuss as I don't think the other is worth mentioning.

The scene is of Zod who has taken a hostage, a mother and child, to the top of this building and he is going to execute them (in front of the world so to speak) some destruction has already taken place and cameras are rolling and watching him. He dislodges a huge tower type thing.. I don't really know what to call it? He is going to crush the woman and child with it. He shows the woman and child some amount of sympathy saying something (paraphrasing) along the lines of your sacrifice will be for the betterment of your people and i'm sure it ill be remembered by all who have witnessed it. As he throws it at them Superman swoops in like lighting catching it before it can crush them and throws it back at Zod and it lands on top of him. He turns and points to a door, I guess leading to the stairwell of the building and shouts at the woman and child to GO! They are shown running to the door and just as Superman turns around Zod is swinging this huge piece of the broken tower at him which hits him and sends him flying into another building.

Pieces of the building are falling to the ground and even the steel underneath is exposed. Superman is visibly dazed and takes a second to regain his composure. When he does he beings to grab pieces of the building and starts to fling them at Zod, who is now flywing towards Superman to finish the fight. Pieces are hitting him and he is breaking some with his fist and blocking others. The angle In which this part is shown is pretty cool in 3D as you can see like a first person perspective of superman's hands as he is throwing the pieces of the building at Zod and the camera is zooming behind the pieces as they hit him or break apart.. it is a truly breath taking action scene. The last piece is a huge steel beam from the building which hits Zod square and sends him flying through the sky, Superman shoots off like a blur to engage the battle some more I guess.. scene ends there.

Some of the things I was going to say have already been mentioned so I will not talk about that. For instance the engineered birthing and such on Krypton. The planet is destroyed in the movie! I have read some debates on that and I thought I would clear that up for every one.

I don't know the running time on the cut I was shown, but it had to be well over two hours, although it flies by! You don't look at your watch once as you are completely engaged in this movie from start to finish.

Jor-el is a bad ass in this version! Even having a fight scene or two and throwing out some pretty epic dialogue. He doesn't have as much scene time as you would think though, which Is fine by me because I have never really been a Russell Crowe fan, he does a good job in the role though.

The only part of the movie I disliked was the throw away introduction of the sequels next villain, which is done as a secret surprise, but you already see it coming an can figure it out long before the surprise revel. No I don't mean Lex, who is actually shown in the movie in a scene! Not a shadow.. they show him. I think any Superman fan can figure out who I'm referring to as I don't want to spoil everything for the none superman fans. We have been screaming for him for awhile now though! *EDIT* He has a skull ship.

There are hints at larger DC universe. Characters are mentioned and destinations, but none are shown.

I am a huge Avenges fan and a straight up Marvel guy and this destroys my precious movie :( The action in this is unlike anything we have seen before in a comic movie. I was really doubting Snyder for this but I have to say he pulled it off. I have no idea what the budget for this was but it had to be massive. Every scene looks so big and the scope is amazing.. especially the scenes on Krypton and the action set pieces. The people going into this seeking some great action will be totally satisfied in every way.

Hennery Cavill is Superman! He nailed this in every way imaginable!! His presence on screen in that suit is jaw dropping! A small gripe I would have is that they barely show any Clark.. in that I mean any Daily Planet Clark. He doesn't even put the glasses on until almost the last scene of the movie. There is plenty of regular Clark though and the acting is top notch in those scenes as well.

I might forget to mention some things here so I will be back to give you some more thoughts. I'm trying to type this up at work and I'm having to stop every now and then to do things and I lose track of where I am.

Zod is really menacing in this. I guess Shannon does a good job with the dialogue but some of his facial impressions at times takes me out of the movie.. that's just my opinion though. If there is an award for screaming out dialogue, he would win it for sure! He isn't your typical bad guy in this and at the end even tries to redeem himself but it doesn't go his way. He is killed but I won't go into that any further.

Any one worried about Superman throwing a punch, don't worry! He throws many.. and some kicks, double fist action, body slamming, car and truck throwing, train smashing and pretty much anything else you can think of! Simply put, this Superman kicks ass!!!

The flying is very cool. Very different than Returns. A lot of close up flying scenes that look stunning. Its a more surreal experience. I almost want to say it looks powerful. He is fast! Always zooming around and looking awesome! The CG, especially in those scenes is really amazing. Although in one or two of the action set pieces some things looked fake, but that cant be avoided. There is a good amount of CG in this movie as well. For the practical effects fans you will be disappointed, but it looks good don't worry to much.

I will come back later but I will rank it before I leave. I would say a 9/10 for sure. This is Superman done right! As a comparison I gave avengers an 8.5/10 and TDKR a 7/10.
