I don't get why people want it to be three hours or longer. Movies can be too long too, and if you measure the success or failure of a film strictly on its box office gross, it stands to do better with a shorter running time. As long as it's able to tell the story it's trying to tell in the time allotted, I'll be happy. King Kong for instance dragged on for me, and I can't believe there was a longer cut that PJ wanted to go with. Ugh. How many more silent, running scenes were there anyway? And as much as I enjoy the LotR films, I have a hard time watching the extended edition of RotK in one sitting.

I agree. Kong did drag it out way to much... And NO, superman shouldn't be 3 hours long, that's just insane.. But I wouldn't mind if it was 2:30 hour

Heard it on AOTS, Chris Gore said he knows 2 people who saw that really long cut of the film. He claims the film should come in at 2hrs and 15mins or 25mins.

That seems like the sweet spot for me. Just like Batman Begins.

I would guess they only go as far as 2:15-2:30. That's ample time for a movie, without getting butt cramps by sitting too long.

then they have a 2 hour n 15 minute one that wb loves cause is good and action packed, but singer thinks its not epic enough.

well be getting reviews all month, but itl be like one a week then 2, then 100. we should be getting some very soon.

i hope they show the 2:15 min movie frist and then in bout 3 months release the exteneded version.... or do the oppisite.... show the longer film and ONLY ON THE FIRST SHOWING to all of us willing to kick and punch are way to see it and then after show the shortened films for the rest of the public and make them wanna see the longer film after hearng all the unedited footage they didnt see so its double ticket but thus increasing the movie profit

I think they will release 143 mins varient as theatrical version.

Yeah.....studios tend to think that the longer the worse, for some reason.

I say, if the film keeps you involved....it could be 4 hours for all I care.
