Iron Man 2 Runtime of the movie

So, it is about the same length as Iron Man was, maybe 3-7 mins shorter. Doesn't matter. The runtime is not 100 mins or less, so I'm sure it is fine.

It's so strange how people actually believe that the longer the movie the better. I've watched some great short films and I've watched some pretty crappy long ones. If Iron Man 2 was 1:30min I would be worried but it's not so I'm not.

Iron man 2 will be not short. The runtime is 126 minutes with end credit

yes...it was a movie that got a theatrical release...it being animated has nothing to do with it....its widely considered the 2nd best if not the best Batman movie

Sometimes no but iron man 2 need 126 minutes.

Look the incredible hulk, they cutted 40 minutes. If it wasn't the case, the movie would be very good.

^Tell me about it. I wish Marvel would release a version of TIH as Norton had intended. TIH with a lot of those deleted scenes included in the film, makes TIH as good if not better than Iron Man.

I see what you are saying Spidey, but with comic book movies, this does always seem to be the case, the longer the better.

District 9 and Moon were the 2 best movies last year IMO, and both were quite short, but they didnt have the story beats or amount of characters that IM2, thats why I think 2 hours is a bit too short.

Ang Lee's Hulk and Singer's Superman Returns also were long, AVEITWITHJAMON. So I don't think it's universal that longer=better with regards to SH films.

There was no reason whatsoever for Superman Returns to be over 2 and 1/2 hrs long.

IM2 has alot going in it, so of course I'm concerned about the run time. Is 126 minutes confirmed? If so, then cool.

I expect less scenes with BW and the villains which I am sure will receive *****ing.

One thing to look forward to for every new comic book film: How many things will be criticized forever.

How long is the after credit scene? Probably a couple of minutes tops. So 117 of actual movie footage, 6-7 minutes credit. So 126 sounds about right. If that's the case there is nothing to be complaining about. If it's 117 with all the other stuff then that's a little disheartening.

I agree with you somewhat. Generally I think that these comicbook movies shouldn't be any shorter than 1:50min actual runtime but Iron Man two is apparently going to be a little longer than that so I'm not worried. As I said before I felt that both Batman movies, Superman Returns, Hulk and Spider-Man 3 were too long. The IM2 runtime sounds perfect to me. I am worried about the amount of characters but I'm always worried about movies that are packed with characters.

That is 100% right. Ever since I saw those IH deleted scenes, I've been saying that Marvel cut a 10/10 masterpiece down to below 8/10 territory. To be fair, I'm betting Marvel was so afraid of comparisons to Ang Lee's poorly paced Hulk mess that they acted out of fear. That certainly won't be the case with Iron Man 2.

Without credits, the first film is 1hr. and 57 minutes. If this sequel is the same length, it shouldn't be a problem...

Thats actually a moot point with me because they are in my top 10 comic book movies and 2 of my favourites.

We'll see I guess, I just hope nothing gets short changed as there seems to be many characters and a few storylines also.

From what RDJ has been saying, the success of IM1 has nade it easy for Marvel to just let him and Favreau have a very free hand in making the movie. So I doubt the runtime would've been short-changed. It'll likelybe whatever it takes to tell the story right. No more, no less.

And I know you love those movies. My point was also for all the rest of us who hate them.

i know imdb is not a great source, saying the movie was 117 minutes, but now its updated to 124 minutes, it's most likely more accurate since the movie comes out in less than 3 weeks.
