After The Sunset and Red Dragon. Terrible movies he made.
Sure, it was kinda bland, but Red Dragon was better than Hannibal (sub-par film directed by the great Ridley Scott). Red Dragon was a good film. It was a worthy edition to the Hannibal lore.
Brett Ratner wasn't the breath of fresh air to the X-men franchise that defenders claimed he would be.
Manhunter > Red Dragon, Hannibal, and Hannibal Rising.
Brett Ratner wasn't the breath of fresh air to the X-men franchise that defenders claimed he would be.
To be fair, Ratner came onto an established franchice, and everything was pretty much already in place for the third installment. S**t, he was a replacement director for the original replacement director, and there was only so much he could do. Any defense I offered Ratner was from people under the delusion that he's some terrible filmmaker comparable to the likes of Uwe Boll.
Ratner's mouth writes checks his ass can't cash.
"I was born to do this movie."
I love the scene with Don Cheadle, and the stuff with Tucker and Zhang Ziyi. And I think just about every man who's seen the movie wishes that was them in front of the rows of ladies. The scene at the massage parlor always makes me laugh, not just the beginning with the doors sliding open and buffet time begins(I tear up everytime that scene happens, just secretly wishing it was me.)
Carter: Ricky. Ricky Tan! Let's go man, come on...I been lookin' all over for you, come on.
XD
Well, the X3 commentary is god-awful terrible. I definitely agree.![]()

Brent Ratner said:[That scene in Rush Hour 3] from my personal experience. My first blow job was from a man, but I didn’t know it was a man. That’s where that comes from. It’s based on personal experience. That happens to a lot of heterosexuals. I’m not homophobic or uptight about it. You meet a girl in a bar, and it turns out she’s not a girl.
^^ Ummm...sorry Ratner, I have never experienced that one![]()
It's Hollywood. Most straight guys that go there will have at least once before they die.
