is roselyn in this? spoiler tag it if you must.
No but you see Jackie holding a picture of her and he is very upset on that she broke up with him LOL because Carter shot her accidentally when they went to New York at the end of movie 2, also many refrences to her in movie 2, but her actually being in it NO. But them talking about her and pictures yes....:yay:

This movie was great. Saw it today & the theater was packed. Not even the trailers & tv spots ruined this movie :woot:

I saw this movie and thought it was the worst one out of the 3. It was a good story, but it was horribly acted and the actors looked into the camera way to much. One thing I hate is when an actor spots the camera. It pulls me right out of the expeerience. Jackie did the best he could with what Bret was giving him. Tucker really should have acted in something before he did this, because he ws a little rusty. The girl playing Su Young was not a very good actor. It's like she was just reading her lines word for word not actually putting any effort in to it. What happened to Han he gets shot and they say he lived, but he is never shown again except for in the hospital shootout. The main badguy was shot by a cab driver. How many people get shot and walk to a fountain and fall face first into it. Where is the logic in that? When this comes out on DVD I will rent it and watch it again. I love the Rush Hour movies, and would really like to like this one, also.

I Saw Rush Hour 3 last night (It was alright, not as good as the first two Rush Hour movies . But still very entertaining , I had fun.)

1. Rush Hour 2 - 5/5

2. Rush Hour - 5/5

3. Rush Hour 3 - 4/5

Here's a little tidbit for you RushHour 3 viewers.

Do any of you remember the old man that ran the school... where Carter and Lee went to investigate? Well... remember how he was telling Carter and Lee his name was "Yu?" Turns out, the name Yu was used because Jackie Chan's teacher was Master Yu... back in the days, when he was still with Yuen Biao, Corey Yuen, and Sammo Hung at The Peking Opera School. :woot:

In what universe are the Rush Hour films 4 and 5 stars?

I can maybe tolerate 3 stars . . .

Absolute Best Rush Hour yet....and seeing Carter Finally be able to fight well was Awesome

I give it a 7, the action fights were funny but not lmao funny.

I haven't seen or heard anything about Roselyn Sanchez. Was she cut from the movie?

Dude, allot of people love this franchise. Though, like Saw, the name no longer makes sense in the sequels.

Pretty bad opening weekend for this movie. New Line Cinema I doubt will be doing back-flips on Monday.

Just saying, the BO for this movie says people are kind of sick and tired of this dull ass franchise. When BU's gross kind of shows it built even more over the last two. Just saying, that's a lasting franchise when it gets good WORD OF MOUTH and does even better over the course of the movies.

$50.2 million is far, far from a bad opening. It's quite powerful. But it does show that the series has suffered a bit of audience erosion in the interim years. - it's about 25% smaller than the opening for RH2. This is the kind of thing you should expect when you wait 6 years, though.

For this franchise with it's budget, yes it is a bad opening. The movie is terribly frontloaded and it's not even going to surpass it's budget with the US gross.

It's going to drop over 50% next weekend. It will most likely only barely break past $100 million. I'll say about $125 million.

I see your point. With Chan taking 15% of the gross and Tucker taking 20%, it's going to be a while before they clear their budget. I'm sure it'll wind up being profitable eventually - maybe through overseas gross or perhaps through DVD - but I don't really expect Rush Hour 4 is on the way.

they should get to work on part 4 immediately... Part 4 should take place somewhere in Africa.. south africa, morocco, something..

Chances are, it could take years for this movie to become profitable. Even with DVD and overseas gross.

VileOne, I don't really enjoy putting you on the spot, but I must. I saw that you rated this movie with the lowest rating. Here's the thing that confuses me. You've not only been adament of your Brett Ratner hate, but also your extreme dislike of the Rush Hour franchise as a whole, as well as dogging this film before you saw it, talking about this movie in the Bourne thread, quoting Kal-El 8 and saying how a Rush Hour movie is not worthy of 4 and 5 stars, and constantly discussing/posting box office results.

Did you actually watch Rush Hour 3 before you voted on the poll?
Did you seriously pay 9 bucks to watch a film that you seemed to have no interest in?

I doubt it LOL and if he says he does he lied LOL:woot:\

LIA!:cmad:

Vileone if you hate the movie soo much then do us ALL a favor and don't post here...it's not making the thread better.

With that said, I enjoyed the film alot. It was really funny.
The funniest scene had to be the scene when Chris Tucker is singing in the club, and Jackie Chan starts singing out of nowhere. I almost choked on my soda on that scene. The bloopers were pretty funny, too. Especially the "you're not my brother" joke.

:D

Rating: I'll give it a strong 8, but I'll state my reason for giving it the rating.

I rate comedies a very different way. I couldn't care less how "good" or "bad" a comedy is. I completely disregard critical reception with these films. The Rush Hour films are some of my favorite comedies, not necessarily because they are high quality films (in that case, the first was the best one), but if it is funny/makes me laugh.

Never cared for any of the Rush Hour movies. With this getting a 20% rating on RT, I'll be waiting for DVD...

I'm pretty sure that's an exaggeration - even freaking Waterworld managed to be profitable a little over a year after it's release thanks to people checking it out on video. I mean, c'mon. If this thing does even as well as Rise of the Silver Surfer did, I think it's got an easy profit ahead of it overseas. But it'll never been as the hit the first two were.
