I have a sailing question for anyone who does sailing here. I've tried to look up the answer on Google, but it won't answer a specific question.
On a sailing boat, how exactly does a rotating mast work? Does the mast spin round completely 180 degrees so that the sail can face the opposite direction to which it was originally facing in? Or does it usually only turn slightly (eg 90 degrees)?
And how common are rotating masts?
