Mind if i help bring this old thread back from the dead? Better that than me opening a new thread only to have it closed.

Anyway, I agree with the OP. Samurai Jack is, in fact, on of the best animated shows I've ever seen. It was very light with the humor factor and did not go overboard like most cartoons nowadays do, but it also balanced it out with AWESOME action scenes and really cool widescreen and split-screen shots. The look and the feel of the series is something I've yet to see replicated to perfection (hopefully Tartakofsky's new show, Sym-Bionic Titan can be just as fun as this was). I REALLY hope the movie finally gets made, especially with J.J. Abrams and his company Bad Robot recently teaming up to work on it. I've been waiting for years to see a conclusion to Jack's tale and I hope he finally makes it home!

Btw, just in case you guys didn't know, all 4 seasons are now long since on DVD or you can also find them on iTunes with no problem!

Yes! This show is awesome. Just the other month I went back and looked at all of my favorite episodes like Jack and the Lava Monster, Jack and the Scotsman (all parts), Jack and the Three Blind Archers, Jack and the Ultra Robots. So many great episodes. I'm gonna miss Mako doing the voice of Aku .

My favorites are all the episodes with the Scotsman (who was voiced by none other than John DiMaggio from Gears of War!)

This was one of the best animated shows ever. It gave you what you wanted...action and a good enough reason to see the protagonist beating up people all the time. The theme song is also one of the all time best!

Watching that intro again makes me miss Mako.
