    Happy Independence Day, Guest!

Sandman is Perfect!

spidermanhero12, I guess that's what the others mean by saying 'you're answering to every single post'

lol he doesn't respond to every post though.

he doesnt reply to those that are critical of him. :o

He looks great and his powers are not watered-down, which really brings out the powerhouse in someone who is just a thug/theif. They could have just made his hands shape-shift (a la Carnage) but they gave him his full sand powers. This allows him to be a hard character to beat.

THC is a solid actor, I trust he will do a really good job with the role.

heh-heh...get it....he's a "solid" actor....erm...
sorry, someone slap me....

long sleeves or not as long as it's the t-shirt from the comics (which it is). in the 1980's the shirt had short sleeves.
Fair enough.

I wasn't exactly saying looong sleeves, but something more like this:

Instead of this:

Like I said, it doesn't bother me! :cwink:

D!

I see....I think i actually prefer the shorter sleeves. It's probably more comfortable for the actor, and it translates better on screen to have shorter sleeves.

yeah, i don't think it would be very comfortable to have a half long sleeve shirt.

If Sandy doesn't die and ends up going away with his daughter, will we see some kind of ending shot of him as the movie comes to a close? I think it would be kind of lame to just have his daughter show up and Sandman leave the film. And making his exit a 5 minute cut scene during the battle royale wouldn't happen.

What do you guys think?

yeah, but hopefully he would try to help spidy out once his daughter shows up, and then Venom would either kill him or knock him out.

Although we really haven't seen much of his character or acting yet for Sandman, I have a feeling THC won't "dumb down" Sandman, and neither will Raimi or the other screenwriters. I like this sense that Sandman, although not a genius like Doc Ock or even the Green Goblin, won't be a moron.

For some reason this picture makes me feel this way; you can see the concern in his face and that he's more of an everyman with a purpose instead of, say, a neanderthal thug that has a purpose. More of a just a desperate man approach:up: .

And Topher really does look Ultimate Eddie Brock (except for the goatee and freckles.) Raimi knows how to cast these roles.

They have done a great job in casting these movies. I think that Topher Grace will play the role of Eddie Brock perfectly. THC was an outstanding pick to play Sandman.

yeah, he's not a villian out to rule the world or to build a machine or going nuts. he's just a criminal trying to get money to help his family and his ailing daughter. i think sam has done a great job with making sandman and bringing him from comic to film.

Definitely better than the "Sandman Robs A Bank!!!" villain from back in the early comic days.

I think by the end of the movie the audience will really feel for him.
