A question about the Sandman van robbery. In the trailer, we see that Sandman and Spider-Man have a fight in a driving van. Who's driving this van?

The bank officers? Why would they keep on driving if someone is robbing them. Even if they don't realize it, the fight between Sandman and Spider-Man should notify them. There's a hole in the roof of the van, the backdoors are open. An alarm must inform them in the truck.

Or is the driver perhaps some henchman of Sandman? I actually believe that Sandman operates alone, now that he has those powers.

Anybody an idea??

First of all, what kind of things do you expect on a superhero forum? Talk about superhero stuff ofcourse.

Second, some people might see this as a spoiler, so that's why I asked it here.

Why do you post if you're not interested...?
I know I'm new around here, but there's no need to be offending.

well tbh, its a stupid question that no-one cares about. if someones being threatened by a guy who can turn his body into anything via sand, of course he will carry on driving

We've seen pics of the van when they were filming last year. One of them showed that the front part was flooded with sand. So there you go.

I believe that's only in the end of the battle. The trailers show that Sandman is there in person. I don't see him split up in 2 parts, 1 part driving and 1 part fighting Spider-Man....

But sorry that I came up with this question. Seems there's a lot of negativity here... :S

Here's the deal so as to end the silliness.

Sandman steals the truck. He's driving it during the scenes when its being driven. It crashes and that's when Sandman and Spidey fight.

No, in the trailers, you can see Sandman standing in the back of the truck while Spider-man webs after him, surfing on a car's door. Sandman also knocks him out of the truck while it's driving...

I'm shocked at how much sense you make . . . shocked in a good way, that is ;)

sandy duplicates himself so there is one driving and one fighting spidey...

voila.

I am pretty sure that one of those leaked set reports/script summaries explained that the bank dudes shoot him in the van, he "bleeds" sand flooding the truck and slamming down on the gas, and then Spidey shows up.

Yeah I remember that too. Or at least something similar.

When Sandman and Peter fight, I'm pretty sure no one is driving the van. Like cmill said, the sand is in the cockpit. Hence why so many cars got destroyed in the cleveland shooting. It doesn't take much to keep the armored truck going straight.

How about we all just wait and watch the damn movie to find out. Nah, that'll never happen.

Ok, I think everyone needs to back off. I thought it was a good question, so I am going to try and answer it as best as I can. It sounds likesands jamming the gas down, but personally, I hope he has henchmen, that would be so cool!
PS- Are you the same person from those Terminator forums?

Are you sure the vehicle is moving?

by what we have seen of set reports/set photos it looks like sandman will sufficate the bank people driving the truck with sand and have the sand slam down on the peddle making it so that the truck can keep going.

Yep, I'm the same guy.
And thanks for the positivity.

Are you sure the vehicle is moving?
Yes, I actually am. I thought there's a scene in the leaked trailer where Spider-Man is surfing on a car's door while holding his webs that are tied to the van, in which Sandman stand in the back. It doesn't like like the car is going straight, because it looks like it just drove aorund a corner.
