I like frogs, not sure why but i do, yesterday whild digging my garden i found one under a rock, so i popped it into a nice tank, a few rocks some water, The little guy seems to like it, when i let him out he's in no rush to get away he even crawls up my fiances arm.

The question is, am i wrong to keep him, should i let him go free orwill he be bequite content with us? your thoughts?

By the way, we (myself, my Fiance, son and daughter) have named him Herbert.

Keep it, but name it Kermit. If you don't name it Kermit, get rid of it.

Unless you're prepared to properly care for him (heat lamp+UVA/UVB lamp+humidity control, live feeder crickets, nutrition supplements, fresh water, substrate, etc) then put him back where you found him.

He's a british common frog he does not need a heat lamp. Aside from the food though, what do you think we should do?

On a side note, i saw prince live last aug, he was awesome.

I think he should be put back in his natural environment to live his life as he was in the middle of doing.

Go to a shelter/petshop to get an animal bred in captivity who will adapt much better to your home.

You can get a lot of interesting pets at shops who are used to living in aquariums, etc. People at the shop would be able to tell you exactly what to do to make them healthy and happy, as well.

    I've had a turtle for 11 years and he's a lovely pet.

Yeah, really. I think a "Ban/Probate Bamfer?" thread is in order.

Wait. If someone can get banned for making a lame joke, you should have been banned roughly 22,977 times.

Yeah Herbert is in a tank i had originally bought with the intention of putting a yellow bellied turtle in (thats what the pet shop calls them if anyone knows the actual name i'd be grateful as theres no yellow belly turtle on the net.)

Erz knows best. Beef up his legs first though. Work him out on a treadmill.
