Who would you prefer to play him? I thought Michael Clark Duncan was pretty good but, I'd like to see if anyone else could do it.

I for one think Michael Chiklis wouldn't be such a bad choice. So who would you pick?

I would like to see MCD for continuity purposes but I dont know if he is the caliber of actor that Sam would put in SM4. Look at the other actors that have worked as villains for Sam (or been offered the opportunity): Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Ben Kingsley, Thomas Hayden Church. Nothing against Michael Clark Duncan but he isnt in that league.

They'd be better off going with Tombstone ala Spectacular Spider-Man or maybe Silvermaine.

I wish they would worry about putting Kingpin in Daredevil before SP4 but If he was going to be in it. I say Ray Winestone

But who else is there though? How many big fat guys can act? I mean, John Goodman is getting pretty old.

I'm sticking with the Spider-Man cartoons and to me The Kingpin is a REALLY BIG dude in a suit not a tall, built guy in a suit. Idk, that's just me.

I mean, find a good plump actor, stuff him with some padding and it shouldn't be too bad right?

If anything, Duncan is a husky, big boned guy. Anyways, wouldn't mind if he was The Kingpin. However, I'm not opposed to getting someone else for the job, but who exactly? No idea :oldrazz:

I know many of you probably won't like this idea but how about Joseph Cartagena better known as Fat Joe. He has the look and who knows he probably could pull it off. I don't consider Kingpin that complex of a character. Basically a bada$$ gangster crimelord under the guise of a businessman who is very powerful.

Michael Clark Duncan's performance was good in DD but a horrible choice for acting. i mean come on a black Kingpin??? we might as well have a Korean Spider-Man. anyways i'm sure there is a credible good white actor they can slap some prosthetics and make up on to give him the bulk he needs to represent Kingpin. i mean look at what they did with The Blob in Wolverin XMO

i like his look it would be perfect for Kingpin but again he's a Puerto Rican/New Yorican as they call it on the east coast. his accent wouldn't match up besides Kingpin is white and his speech voice accent should all match up with his intellect which I doubt Fat Joe has.

On a side note Fat Joe is a dope MC.

I hate Sam Raimi.... I justed to let everyone know that.

if you wanna go that route, i might actually suggetion, Keith Loneker (Out of Sight, Leatherheads, Lakeview Terrace)

So what if he was black he was good at the role. And race is not the issue. Micheal Clark Duncan looked the part of being big and bulksky like Kingpin was.

my probelm with him, had nothing to do with the "race issue" ...

I just found him to be a rather uninspirational casting pick, it seemed like kinda lazy casting on their behalf (especially at the time) as he just seemed like the go to guy for any, big, tough guy, gangster type role

He looks the part for sure! Haven't seen him in any movie yet though, so I can't judge him by his acting skills. However, he looks a little bit too unsecure for being Kingpin in those pics in my opinion, but as I said, I haven't seen him in any movie so who am I to judge? :yay:

I don't care if Kingpin would appear as black either by the way. I wouldn't complain if MCD would get the role again.

yes it is the issue. that's one of the reasons Dare Devil was a horrible movie. that and the bad acting from the other actors. i mean if i put on a Capt America movie and Capt America was Japanes I'd be like WTF??? the whole point of comic book movies is trying to stay true to the comics and Dare Devil failed for several of those reasons. i have no issue w/race but when doing comic book movies it matter to the fans who are use to seeing a big huge white bald headed man for Kingpin. again they could've taken a credible white actor and thrown on some prosthetics and make up. it's not rocket science

Duncan was perfect as The Kingpin. The race change didin't bother me at all.

i agree awesome performance by Duncan but wrong choice as far as who Kingpin is. if Duncan was white only then would it have been perfect.

I'm ok with Kingpin being in the movie.
I'm also ok with Michael Clark Duncan as Kingpin but however, they can try to look for a better guy.

I never really had a problem with MCD as Kingpin and that movie had more important problems IMO. But that's beside the point now, that was the past and that was an entirely different francise. Time to move on. If they were to introduce the character for Spiderman they need to explore new possibilities with no connections to that DD francise including MCD. I say Fat Joe or that guy Spiderfan 83 posted are viable options.

MCD should reprise the role as Kingpin if he was in Spiderman 4. And its about time Kingpin makes his way into the movies now anyways. So MCD for Kingpin again.

Kingpin being black is not the same thing as Spider-Man being Korean :whatever:
